There aren’t many games this week due to the Olympic break starting February 5 (Friday), so we’re looking to get the most value from the forwards who have played well recently.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards for Week 18
Jared McCann, Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken have been playing well and winning, and a part of that is thanks to a healthy Jared McCann, who has found his scoring touch. Over his past six games, he has six goals and 10 points, with three coming on the power play.
McCann is on the top line with Jordan Eberle and Matty Beniers and also on the top power-play unit. He has 16 goals and 29 points in 30 games on the season. McCann also shoots a good amount and will trickle in some hits and blocked shots. The Kraken have games against the Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings this week.
Brayden Schenn, St. Louis Blues
The St. Louis Blues are still a struggling team, but Brayden Schenn has joined the top line and has been producing more. He is playing with Dalibor Dvorsky and Jimmy Snuggerud, with Robert Thomas injured, and Schenn has three goals and five points in his last four games.
Schenn is shooting more in a more offensive role, on top of hitting a lot and blocking a good amount of shots for a forward. He has grit to his game, so he’ll also take penalties and fight. It’s been a frustrating season for the Blues. St. Louis plays the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars.
Mats Zuccarello, Minnesota Wild
It’s hard to find many players in the NHL who have been hotter than Mats Zuccarello lately. He has nine goals and 32 points in 36 games this season, but since Quinn Hughes joined the team, the offense has been booming everywhere.
Since returning from injury, he has played 21 games and recorded seven goals and 20 points, but in his last eight games, he has four goals and 11 points. He is on the top line with Kirill Kaprizov and Ryan Hartman, and on the top power play. The Wild still have opponents in the Montreal Canadiens and Predators before the break.

If any of these forwards are available to you, they’re in great spots to finish strong before the Olympic break. Be sure to come back for the defense streamers before the break as well.
