Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Week 3 Forward Streamers

The fantasy hockey waiver wire is hot with plenty of solid players to consider adding, whether you need a short-term streamer or a player who you can even hold onto for longer than that. We’re diving into three of the best that are widely available right now.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 3

Dylan Cozens, Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators may be struggling with a 2-4-0 record, but that doesn’t mean their players are hurting for production, especially in fantasy if hits matter in your league. Dylan Cozens is a great player to tackle multiple categories for your fantasy hockey team. He has scored three goals and five points through the first six games of the season while adding 26 hits.

Three of his points have also come on the power play, adding a great deal of value to the forward. And if you want a little more offensive potential, Shane Pinto of the Senators has seven goals and eight points while getting similar looks in the lineup. The Senators have matchups against the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals to close out this week.

Owen Tippett, Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers are faring a little better and just got themselves into a playoff spot with a 3-2-1 record. This is partly due to Owen Tippett, who has scored in three straight games and four of the last five. He has five goals through the first six games of the season, shoots plenty, and hits a good deal as well. He is now on the top line and top power play, so the opportunity is there. The Flyers have the Senators and New York Islanders remaining this week.

Conor Garland, Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks have started the season on the right foot, but the injuries are starting to pile up. For fantasy hockey purposes, this is good news for some, like Conor Garland, who is playing on the top line and top power play while seeing a much higher increase in ice time because the team is dressing 11 forwards.

Garland has a goal and four assists in his last three games, but one goal and six points through the first six games of the season. He has a three-game power-play point streak, shoots a good amount, hits, and blocks shots. The veteran is doing everything and doing even more with his increased role. The Canucks get to still play the Nashville Predators, Montreal Canadiens, and Edmonton Oilers in a busy week.

These forward streamers will give you a big boost for the remainder of this week and likely longer by the way they’re rolling and their roles. Make sure to return next week for more options if you need suggestions to boost your fantasy hockey team.
