With the NFL regular season just over a month away, it’s time to lock in on one of the most important decisions you’ll make on draft day — who will be under center for your fantasy squad. Quarterback is a position that can single-handedly swing a matchup, and whether you’re aiming high for an elite option or hunting for value in the later rounds, understanding the current landscape is crucial. My 2025 quarterback rankings have you covered however your draft plays out.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2025 season.
Now, my QB1 at the top of this year’s rankings might raise a few eyebrows — but I’m planting my flag. I believe this second-year quarterback won’t just repeat last season’s video-game numbers — he’s about to take another leap and establish himself as one of the league’s best very soon.
To get a better sense of how I evaluate the position overall, make sure to check out my recent article highlighting the power of the mobile quarterback — it’ll give you insight into why certain players get a boost in my rankings.
To make these rankings easier to digest and apply to your draft strategy, I’ve broken them down into tiers. If you’re unfamiliar with tier-based rankings, here’s the deal: players grouped in the same tier are, in my view, of similar fantasy value. So if you miss out on Jayden Daniels at the top, don’t stress — quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts offer similar upside within that same tier.
This structure continues throughout all 11 tiers, and I’ve also included a 12th and final tier for quarterbacks who are currently losing their respective camp battles, at least from what we’re hearing in the media.
QB Battles to Monitor Closely
Daniel Jones vs. Anthony Richardson
Right now, I’ve got Daniel Jones slotted in at QB23 because I expect him to win the job coming out of camp. But let’s be clear: if Anthony Richardson takes over, his elite rushing upside would instantly vault him into the top 10 — maybe even top 5. That’s how dangerous he is as a fantasy weapon when he’s healthy and starting.
Spencer Rattler, Jaxson Dart, Kenny Pickett
These three currently headline my Tier 12 group — quarterbacks not projected to start as of now. I’ve got Tyler Shough, Russell Wilson, and Joe Flacco winning their respective camp battles at this point, and my rankings reflect that. Even if Rattler, Dart, or Pickett manage to win the job, I wouldn’t rank them higher than Tier 9, due to either capped ceilings or questionable supporting casts. Still, I’ll be tracking camp battles closely and will update the rankings accordingly once we have more clarity.

Final Thoughts
The quarterback position continues to evolve — and in fantasy football, staying ahead of those shifts can give you the edge you need. Whether you’re loading up early with a proven stud or waiting for the right tier to strike, understanding each player’s upside, risk, and situation is critical.
One of my favorite strategies? Pounce on mobile quarterbacks — especially those paired with questionable defenses. That combo creates the perfect storm: a safe weekly floor thanks to rushing production, and the potential for shootouts that boost their ceiling. It’s one of the clearest paths to sneaky top-10 production at a discount.
These rankings reflect my outlook heading into training camp, but they’re far from set in stone. I’ll be monitoring preseason action, injury updates, and depth chart battles closely — and adjusting accordingly as the news rolls in.
Remember: fantasy football is part data, part gut, and a whole lot of fun. So trust your instincts, use these tiers as your roadmap, and don’t be afraid to take your shot — especially if it’s on a quarterback with league-winning upside.
Thanks for reading, and best of luck this season — now let’s go win some championships!
