Monday G6 Climbers: Names Closing In on 30% Before Tuesday

If you’ve been following my writing the last two seasons, you know I drop my G6 waiver wire takes on Thursdays. I do it because I like the real sicko stuff — who did people leave behind that you can stick into your lineup-type stuff. This year, however, I’m attempting to give you two articles a week. The first one drops on Mondays and covers guys close to that 30% threshold who may not be there come Tuesday. Then, on Thursdays, my sicko list returns. These plays are usually for streaming purposes, not your league-winner type stuff.

There’s no such thing as too much football! 2026 is the perfect time to add the college game to your fantasy football repertoire. Whether you want to create your own league or join an existing league, the Fantrax College Football Commissioner is the place to go!

Monday G6 Climbers: Names Closing In on 30% Before Tuesday

Quarterbacks

Luke Weaver, San Jose State

Fantrax Rostership: 25%
Total Fantasy Points: 63.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 31.6

Luke Weaver has thrown 32 and 39 times over the past two weeks for a combined 550 yards. As a result, he is averaging 31.6 PPG in 6-point passing TD leagues. The Spartans have a Week 2 matchup with Cal Poly, and I expect them to look to find their groove on offense before their Week 3 matchup with rival Fresno State and the Battle for the Valley. Luke Weaver is a name that should be 30% rostered come Tuesday.

Running Backs

Jaylin Carter, Memphis

Fantrax Rostership: 21%
Total Fantasy Points: 60.8
Fantasy Points Per Game: 30.4

This week is your last chance to grab Jaylin Carter. Obviously, a date against Boise State isn’t ideal in Week 2, but if you don’t scoop him up this week, kiss your Jaylin Carter share goodbye. In case you haven’t seen Carter the past two weeks, he has been incredible: 15 rushes for 97 yards and 1 TD (15.7 points) in Week 0 against UNLV, followed by 19 rushes for 183 yards and 4 TDs against Arkansas State in Week 1. Week 2 will prove tough, but if you want to reap the benefits season-long, you’ve got to grab him tonight. There is a 0% chance Carter will be under 30% owned come Tuesday morning.

Wide Receivers

Cam’Ron Lacy, Middle Tennessee

Fantrax Rostership: 10%
Total Fantasy Points: 25.8
Fantasy Points Per Game: 25.8

Cam’Ron Lacy had eight targets and eight receptions for 118 yards and 1 TD in Week 1 against an FCS opponent. In Week 2, the Blue Raiders face off against Marshall, and Lacy will be the focal point of this passing attack. Specifically, in Week 1 he had a 40% reception share and accounted for 59% of the receiving yardage. Overall, I look for Lacy to be a plug-and-play option in Week 2. I think Lacy has a good chance to not be over 30% owned come Tuesday, but I think he is someone who definitely should be.

Tight End

Jeremiah Scoby, Bowling Green

Fantrax Rostership: 0%
Total Fantasy Points: 20.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 20.3

Despite the 0% ownership, I expect this number to hover close to or exceed 30% come Tuesday. Jeremiah Scoby corralled 10 balls on 11 targets for 103 yards on Saturday. This Bowling Green O-line had fits stopping Tarleton State’s pass rush, and in Week 2, the Falcons face Nebraska, so I don’t expect things to get easier. Why do I like this? First, I like Scoby as a season-long play. Secondly, with that pressure comes quick passes — as a result, Scoby claimed 41.6% of the receptions and 38.9% of the team’s receiving yardage in Week 1.

Monday G6 Climbers: Names Closing In on 30% Before Tuesday

There you have it — four names sitting right on the edge of that 30% threshold, and if history tells us anything, at least a couple of them won’t be around come Tuesday. So don’t sleep on Weaver, Carter, Lacy, or Scoby if you’re looking to plug a hole in your lineup this week. As always, I’m here to help you beat your league mates to the punch before the rest of your league catches on.

That’ll do it for the Monday climbers. I’ll be back Thursday with my sicko takes — the real under-the-radar names built for streaming, not just this week’s headlines. Until then, get your waivers in. If you want more G6 information, you can catch me every Monday night ~10:30 pm EST on YouTube or X as Justice, and I will bring you The G5 Hive Live.

Note: This week, G5 Hive Live will be on Wednesday due to travel and the Holiday.
