It’s all about survival. The stakes are getting higher, and the options are dwindling by the minute. Stress is the operative word, and while we think we know what’s going to happen on a weekly basis, do we ever?
With that being said, the process goes on. Let’s stick with it and see which teams should be on our radar. Now, here is who we are considering for our Week 14 NFL Survivor Picks.

Week 14 NFL Survivor Picks
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints – Buccaneers -8.5
With just two victories on the season, it’s been a tough 2025 for the New Orleans Saints. At this point, it doesn’t appear to be getting any easier for the Saints and rookie quarterback Tyler Shough. The Saints are just playing out the strings, while the Buccaneers are battling to make the postseason.
When these teams played earlier this season, Tampa Bay had a resounding road victory by the score of 22-3. With just two wins on the season, it’s hard to expect much from a Saints team without much going for them. The fact that they are without Alvin Kamara only makes things more difficult for an offense that was already without much firepower.
Neither team has an especially strong defense, but this game will be won on offense. The Saints are ranked 30th with 15.2 points per game, while the Buccaneers are ranked 16th at 23.3 points per game. Do we really think Shough is going to outscore Baker Mayfield? And especially not with a defense in the bottom half of the league.
Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals – Bills -5.5
The Buffalo Bills aren’t performing to the level we were accustomed to, but that doesn’t mean they are a bad team. With Joe Burrow back, we can’t overlook the Bengals, but this game truly matters for the 8-4 Bills. They aren’t used to being in second place, but there’s still a lot of football left to be played.
Cincinnati can move the ball with ease, but they also can’t stop anyone. I understand Burrow just defeated the Ravens in Baltimore, but it’s not the same team we were accustomed to. And the Bengals defense is simply terrible. That might be an understatement.
On the season, the Bengals defense is allowing a league-worst 31.2 points per game. From Buffalo’s perspective, that lines up well with an offense ranked fifth with 28.1 points per game.
A lot of offense is expected on Sunday, but Allen has the edge. To say that he’s going to meet no resistance might be an understatement. Buffalo’s defense is ranked a modest 13th with 21.6 points per game allowed, and that’s enough to give them the edge.

Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders – Broncos -7.5
Yes, we are targeting the road team in a divisional matchup, but it’s for good reason. The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off an ugly loss, while the Denver Broncos have been one of the better teams in the league this season.
Both of those statements might be colossal understatements. The Raiders are in the midst of a six-game losing streak and have just two wins on the season. Switching offensive coordinators, at least for one week, didn’t seem to have any positive benefit for the Raiders.
Playing at home also doesn’t matter as the Raiders are just 1-5 there this season. With these two teams going in opposite directions, our survivor pick is going to jump onto the Broncos. The Raiders are on a six-game losing streak, while Denver did one better with their nine-game winning streak. While we can’t expect both, or either one, to continue, this isn’t the week in which it will come to a close. So let’s target the Broncos with our survivor picks.
Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals – Rams -8
This is not an easy week to work with. That doesn’t mean we’re looking for excuses, though, and the Los Angeles Rams are on our list of survivor picks.
Last week was just a disaster for the Rams. Things started off well, but then the Rams seemingly forgot how to score and lost a tough road game in Carolina against the Panthers. As they fight for the top of the NFC West, each game takes on even more importance. That means the Rams are going to come ready to play against the Arizona Cardinals.
While the Cardinals have been competitive, they are far from a perfect team. Despite their best efforts, they have lost four games in a row, and things don’t appear to be getting much better. The Rams have the second-best defense in the league with just 17.5 points allowed per game. Especially after the Panthers scored 31 points on them last week, the Rams are looking for a rebound effort.
Matthew Stafford is simply having too good a season to overlook here. The Rams are the better team, and that’s enough for me, as we also get the better quarterback.
