The dynasty football market never sleeps. Even the slightest bit of promise can balloon a player’s value, while any hint of concern can tank someone’s stock. The landscape is ever-changing, and it’s tough to keep up with it all the time.
That’s where this series comes in! Every week, FantraxHQ will give you the skinny on the movers and shakers in the world of dynasty fantasy football.

Dynasty Risers and Fallers Heading into Week 2
Key Risers
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders
Jacory “Bill” Croskey Merritt is the new hotness in the fantasy football world. He has powered his way through the Commanders’ depth chart and is now set to serve as their primary early-down back. He had a few great runs against the Giants in Week 1, showcasing his ability to be a contributor in that offense. For dynasty, because he was typically undrafted and picked up off waivers, he’s nothing but value for the owner.
The question now is, is he a hold or a sell high? Tough to say, but it all comes down to what your league mates will offer.
Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
The lightning-fast RB out of Virginia Tech suddenly found himself as the RB2 in Jacksonville after a trade sent Tank Bigsby to Philadelphia. People are excited about his potential as a playmaker and are ecstatic that there is one less hurdle in his way. He still has to find a role in this offense as Travis Etienne is cemented as the primary back. It won’t take long for us to find out how much the Jaguars coaching staff believes in Tuten.
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Emeka Egbuka’s big opening performance was highlighted by two touchdowns, one of which was the eventual game-winner. As long as Chris Godwin is out of the lineup, Egbuka will continue to be a key piece in the Bucs’ passing attack.
However, there is some noise about a potential Godwin return soon, so something to keep in mind if you’re trying to (for whatever reason) sell Egbuka.
Cedric Tillman, WR, Cleveland Browns
We witnessed a small breakout from Cedric Tillman last year before he missed the rest of the season with a concussion. Back and fully healthy, Tillman saw eight targets and scored in the Browns’ season opener. One crucial drop did lead to an interception, but it’s doubtful that the play will cost him playing time.
Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots
It’s been a long journey for Kayshon Boutte, but he’s finally showing that former first-round draft potential. 100 yards on six catches is a great start to year three, and his connection with Drake Maye makes me believe that success will continue. Although this Patriots offense is still working through some kinks, Boutte is someone you should try to acquire before his price inflates to something a bit more unreasonable.
Key Fallers
Tank Bigsby, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Dynasty managers could feel that one of the Jacksonville running backs would be traded. We just didn’t know it would be Tank Bigsby, and we definitely didn’t know it would be to the Eagles. Bigsby is absolutely buried on this depth chart. Even with Shipley’s apparent rib injury, Bigsby is behind both Saquon Barkey and AJ Dillon. It’ll most likely be weeks before we see Bigsby do anything of value in Philadelphia.
Xavier Legette, WR, Carolina Panthers
This one hurts. I really liked Legette’s tape coming out of college. He was a late breakout, but first-round draft capital signaled to us that the Panthers saw him as an immediate contributor for their offense. He had a somewhat disappointing rookie season, which left us wanting a bit more. Surely he’d get back on track in his sophomore season.
He did not. He had plenty of opportunities to help the Panthers stay in the game against the Jaguars, but couldn’t quite pull it all together. Now we need to see if there’s any hope for Legette as a dynasty asset in the next few games.

The “There’s Still Time to Buy” Guys
Elic Ayomanor, WR, Tennessee Titans
Elic Ayomanor was on the field a ton in his NFL debut. He saw seven targets, which, despite only catching two, is a great indicator of his potential usage going forward. Throw some late-round draft picks to the Ayomanor owner to see if you can capitalize on his quiet-ish Week 1.
Tory Horton, WR, Seattle Seahawks
While Horton didn’t see the same number of targets as Ayomanor, he was routinely on the field in three wide receiver sets. I don’t think Darnold can hyper-focus on JSN every game. When Darnold does eventually spread the ball around, Horton should be there to reap the benefits.
LeQuint Allen, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
This is a pure speculative buy. LeQuint Allen has a unique combination of size and skill set that HC Liam Coen might look to utilize in the coming weeks. Both rookies are behind Travis Etienne, so feel free to pick one and hope you guessed right.
