Week 2 Dynasty Football Trade Targets

After months of projections and conjecture, we finally have tangible results from the players on our dynasty rosters. After Week 1, opinions can change quickly, which makes it a great time to buy low on guys who underperformed in their season debut. Below you’ll find five dynasty trade targets ahead of Week 2.

What I love about dynasty is that it’s really just one big market with fluctuating prices on assets. Every player is like a stock. Their price, based on both their production and their perception, goes up and down. I would trade for almost every fantasy-relevant player if the price was right and I had the roster spot available.

And your league is its own market with unique dynamics. Two managers may be related and more likely to trade with one another. Or perhaps the blood relation makes it less likely they’ll consummate a deal. Maybe one manager in your league is a Lions fan and would pay up to get Amon-Ra St. Brown. But maybe they hate Jameson Williams because he’s too volatile and would sell him on the cheap. Either way, information is critical and can help swing deals in your favor.

In these markets, both the broad dynasty landscape and your individual league, basic economic principles apply. We’re talking supply and demand, resource scarcity, opportunity cost, and buy low, sell high.

Poor performances in Week 1 make for a great buy-low window. Not all trade candidates are built the same, though. You aren’t going to be able to swing a trade for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, Bills running back James Cook, Bears tight end Colston Loveland, or Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, all of whom underperformed in Week 1. But there are some useful players that are attainable and can help your roster.

5 Buy-Low dynasty Trade Targets for Week 2

Terry McLaurin, Commanders WR

McLaurin turned 31 on Tuesday. That’s old in the NFL and ancient in dynasty. Plus, he’s coming off a dud in Week 1, in which he had just two catches on four targets for 14 yards. Use all of that to your advantage. That’s leverage.

McLaurin had 13 TDs and nearly 1,100 receiving yards in 2024. He finished as WR6 in fantasy that season. Do you know what his stat line was in Week 1?

He had two catches on four targets for 17 yards.

Buy low on McLaurin and bet that he performs more like the 2024 version this year and next.

A.J. Brown, Patriots WR

A.J. Brown is another shrewd dynasty Week 2 trade target. He has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 1 against the Seahawks. He will not be helping your fantasy team, or anyone else’s, for at least the next six weeks. But he could help later this season and beyond.

In dynasty, playing the long game can help you accrue value and make you better positioned for success. Brown’s price is low now because he’s injured. Dynasty managers in win-now mode may be willing to part ways with him for a player or two that can help them immediately. If you are building for next year or have the depth to stay competitive for the next six or so weeks, then make a play for Brown. He’s the WR1 on a team that was second in the league in scoring in 2025.

TreVeyon Henderson, Patriots RB

Another Patriot? Yes! You want players on good offenses, and New England has one of the best in the sport.

Henderson is expected to play against the Steelers in Week 2 after missing the opener with an ankle injury. Get him now before he has a big week.

As a rookie, Henderson garnered 911 rushing yards on 180 carries (5.1 ypc), 221 receiving yards on 35 receptions, and scored 10 total touchdowns. That was good enough for an RB19 finish.

That rookie year stat line is eerily similar to what the guy who finished as a top four RB in each of the past two seasons did in his first year in the league. This running back had 945 rushing yards on 185 carries, 316 receiving yards on 52 receptions, and 11 total touchdowns as a rookie back in 2023. His name? Jahmyr Gibbs.

Tony Pollard, Titans RB

The Titans’ offense was dreadful in Week 1 against the Jets. In their first game under new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, Tennessee could not even muster 200 yards of total offense. Things can’t get worse for the Titans, can they?

Pollard had only eight touches, which wasn’t encouraging, but he’s still the lead back. Tyjae Spears had just five. You may be able to get Pollard at a steep discount if you pounce right now.

He isn’t a league winner by any means, but he does have 1,000-plus rushing yards in four straight seasons. And running backs are currency in fantasy football. You can never have enough of them.

Pollard is a solid buy-low trade candidate in dynasty because he will provide quality depth on your roster for when injuries and bye weeks mount. Plus, his value should increase as the Titans’ offense gets better.

Mark Andrews, Ravens TE

Andrews just turned 31 years old and is largely seen as an afterthought in dynasty. He had 4 catches for 49 yards in Week 1, so he’s not an obvious trade target. That being said, this Ravens offense has a chance to be the best in the NFL under first-year offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. The 30-year-old guided Baltimore to over 500 yards of total offense in his debut as a play-caller.

If this offense remains as explosive as many think it can, you are going to want to get a piece of it. Andrews is a low-cost way to buy into it. Plus, he was tied with Zay Flowers for the team lead in targets in Week 1 with six. Sure, he’s on the back nine of his career, but he’s the clear No. 1 tight end on this team with Isaiah Likely in New York.

Andrews has top-five tight end potential this year, and if he hits that mark, you can flip him in the offseason for picks or a younger player with upside.

Andrews is an under-the-radar buy-low trade target in dynasty ahead of Week 2.
