Welcome back for Week 2! Hopefully, you took advantage of some of our player props that hit during last Wednesday and Thursday night’s games.
Now that we have a week of football behind us, we can start using data-driven statistics from the 2026 season to better understand these teams and players. That should give us an even better chance of finding player props that can hit each Thursday night.
Picks from Week 1 WNF/TNF
WNF: We went 8/10, with our only misses coming on A.J. Brown’s anytime touchdown and Hunter Henry’s receiving yardage.
TNF: We went 4/10. The Rams’ offense struggling in Australia hurt several of our picks, along with Christian McCaffrey’s total yardage.
Let’s dive into our favorite player props for Week 2 of Thursday Night Football!

We are in for a juggernaut matchup between two high-powered offenses in the Lions and Bills, who have the highest over/under of the weekend.
Starting with the Bills, we have quarterback Josh Allen. The Lions’ secondary is a mess right now, with a few of their starters on the PUP list or IR. They just allowed Tyler Shough to throw for 410 yards in Week 1. Enter Allen, who will be playing in front of Bills fans for the team’s home opener in its new stadium. Expect Allen to light it up through the air. I’m taking the over 255.5 passing yards, a number he surpassed in 7 of 9 home games last season. He is also coming off a 300-yard performance in Week 1.
We aren’t done with Allen yet. I’m also taking over 1.5 passing touchdowns. Similar to his passing-yard numbers, Allen threw 2 or more touchdowns in 7 of 9 home games last season. The Lions just allowed Shough to throw 3 touchdowns against them in Week 1. In what should be a high-scoring game, Allen should have plenty of opportunities to hit this line.
Sticking with touchdowns, take Allen to score a anytime touchdown too. Allen scored twice on the ground in Week 1, and 10 of his 14 rushing touchdowns last season came at home. Allen has shown time and time again: Don’t doubt him in Orchard Park.
Usually, backfields would have an excellent rushing matchup on TNF but the Lions’ secondary was so bad in Week 1 that I’m sticking with the passing game. Look for James Cook to go over 2.5 receptions. Without Ty Johnson handling the pass-catching role, Cook saw four targets and caught three passes in Week 1. The Lions also allowed Travis Etienne to catch seven passes against them. Cook surpassed 2.5 receptions in only 7 of 17 games last season, which makes this a slightly tougher prop, but he should remain involved in Buffalo’s passing game in Week 2.
DJ Moore had a great debut with the Bills in Week 1, so let’s roll with him again. His receiving line in this matchup looks too low, making over 62.5 receiving yards one of my favorite plays. If Allen is going to push for the over on his passing yards, expect Moore to be one of the biggest beneficiaries. Moore had a 24.1% target share and 33.3% first-read rate in his first game with Allen. It’s clear Moore is going to be one of Allen’s top options in 2026. We also just watched another WR1, Chris Olave, torch this Lions defense.
That’s also why I want Moore over 4.5 receptions and an anytime touchdown. I expect a high-scoring game, and Moore should be a major part of Buffalo’s offensive success. Moore was 1 of only 6 receivers with at least a 75% route participation rate to post a .29 TPRR or better in Week 1. When Moore was running routes, Allen was looking his way.
The final Bills player is Dalton Kincaid. Whether you’re a Kincaid truther or not, you can’t deny his dominant Week 1 performance, finishing with 130 receiving yards. Don’t expect another 100-yard outing, but he should be able to surpass 51.5 receiving yards.
Kincaid had just a 51.1% route participation rate last season but opened 2026 at 68.8%. He looks healthy and remains one of the most talented pass-catching tight ends in the league. The Lions allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends in Week 1 and gave up 54 receiving yards to Juwan Johnson despite him being the fourth option in the offense. Kincaid finished second on Buffalo in targets with 6, so expect him to see enough opportunities to surpass this line.
Moving over to the Lions, this offense played a little differently on the road last season compared to at home. Detroit scored fewer touchdowns and produced less yardage away from Ford Field. Still, the Lions have two elite-tier weapons we can’t ignore for player props.
Amon-Ra St. Brown didn’t have his best game from a yardage standpoint in Week 1, finishing with just 64 receiving yards. The Bills allowed the sixth-most receiving yards to wide receivers in Week 1, as their secondary didn’t fare much better than Detroit’s. St. Brown commanded a 33.2% target share, so the opportunities should be there for him to hit over 78.5 receiving yards. He surpassed that number in 9 of 17 games last season, and this matchup has the potential to produce plenty of offense.
Finally, running back Jahmyr Gibbs should find the end zone in Week 2. Gibbs scored 18 touchdowns last season and has already gotten off to a fast start in 2026 with 2 touchdowns in Week 1.
Gibbs handled 88% of Detroit’s inside-the-20 touches last week, putting him in position for another big performance. The Bills gave up 3 rushing touchdowns to David Montgomery in Week 1. Look for Gibbs to follow his former teammate into the end zone in Week 2 with an anytime touchdown.
