Week 3 Dynasty Football Risers and Fallers

The beginning of the 2025 season has brought with it plenty of twists and turns that have tested dynasty football managers. One week, your rookie is a pivotal part of the offense, the next, they are riding the bench for three quarters. Having a clear vision of the future is difficult. The best we can do is follow along with the trends we see in the NFL. In Week 1, we saw some dynasty assets gain value, while others slipped down a tier. Week 2 brought us even more shake-ups across the dynasty landscape. Let’s get into the dynasty football risers and fallers as we head into Week 3.

Dynasty Risers and Fallers Heading into Week 3

Key Risers

Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns

Week 2: 10 Carries, 61 Yards, 3 Receptions, 10 yards

With his off-field issues resolved for the time being, the Cleveland Browns finally brought in second-round running back Quinshon Judkins to the offensive game plan. I’m not sure if it was the best situation for his entry into the NFL, but it was an entry nonetheless. Judkins led the backfield in carries against a stout Baltimore front. The majority of his yardage came from an excellent 30-yard run, making his 6 yards per carry average somewhat misleading. All of this is to say, Judkins looks good. He looked exactly like who we dynasty managers thought he would be.

All of the dynasty managers who picked Judkins in the first round can breathe easy knowing their pick wasn’t wasted. It would have been nice to avoid the stress, but here we are.

Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns

Week 2: 5 Receptions, 48 Yards

It’s weird talking about multiple players on the Cleveland Browns, but we can’t deny how exciting some of these young players look in their first few weeks of NFL action. Harold Fannin Jr had fantasy managers split. Was his Week 1 breakout a mirage or a true sign of things to come? Most of us were burned by Isaiah Likely’s dominant Week 1 performance in 2024, as we had rushed to spend all of our FAAB for the eventual TE16.

Lucky for us, it’s looking like Fannin is the real deal. Another five catches in this game highlight how the Browns want to use Fannin early and often. When we want value out of the tight end position, we want to follow the targets. Fannin is likely here to stay as a weekly play and is someone you should try to acquire in dynasty.

Tucker Kraft, TE, Green Bay Packers

Week 2: 6 Receptions, 124 Yards, 1 TD

I think we now have our answer for the big question, “Who will emerge as the top target in this Green Bay offense?”. Tucker Kraft exploded on Thursday Night Football last week. He led the Packers in receiving options in targets, receptions, and yards. He has become one of Jordan Love’s most reliable targets. It’s nice that he has some YAC ability as well.

We will want to monitor his recent knee injury to see if it’s something more major. Hopefully, it isn’t something long-term.

Elic Ayomanor, WR, Tennessee Titans

Week 2: 4 Receptions, 56 Yards, 1 TD

Elic Ayomanor was on last week’s list as a “potential buy”, and I sure hope you have time to make one last offer before this weekend. Ayomanor is the WR2 on this offense, but it doesn’t feel like he will stay there for long. The connection between the rookie WR and fellow rookie Cam Ward seems to be strong through two weeks. If we see one more great week from Ayomanor, it wouldn’t shock me to see his stock soar even higher.

Key Fallers

Kaleb Johnson, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Week 2: 1 Carry, 1 Yard

It was a bad sign to see Kaleb Johnson buried on the depth chart in Week 1. It was even worse when he failed to perform when he had opportunities on special teams. A crucial misplay cost the Steelers dearly in the matchup against the Seahawks, and now he may be buried even further. Johnson was a first-round pick for most rookie drafts, and it looks like he may be the first bust of the class. I doubt you want to sell Johnson this early, and you certainly won’t drop him. He’s an asset that you’ll have to hold on to in hopes of seeing a sudden rise in value down the line.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins

Week 2: 26/32, 315 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

Tua Tagovailoa is not the same player he was two years ago. Whether it be due to injury, coaching, or some unseen third issue, Tagovailoa is not performing up to the standard set by his massive contract. The Miami Dolphins offense looks disheveled and disoriented, and that starts with the quarterback. If the quarterback can’t get into a rhythm and can’t get everyone else in sync, the team will fail. It’s that simple. His dynasty stock is tanking because of his inability to produce consistent fantasy output.

The “There’s Still Time to Buy” Guys

Spencer Rattler, QB, New Orleans Saints

Week 2: 25/34, 207 Yards, 3 TDs, 4 Carries, 14 Yards

What a pleasant surprise Spencer Rattler has been to start the 2025 season. He beat out Tyler Shough in the pre-season QB battle, and now he is slowly morphing into a playable fantasy option. One more quality start from Rattler, and we just may have a new young QB for dynasty managers to fight over.

Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers

Week 2: 0 Receptions, 0 Yards (2 Targets)

With Jayden Reed injured and out for the rest of the season, this is the moment for Matthew Golden to ascend to WR1 status. There won’t be a time like this again because the Packers will need to lean on someone to fill in Reed’s shoes. If you believe that person is Golden, then now is the time to buy.
