Week 6 NFL DFS: Money Makers and Heart Breakers

Welcome back to Money Makers and Heart Breakers, where we define the players who pad your wallet from the ones who kick you right in the lineup.

It’s Week 6, and by now your fantasy feeds are a circus of nonsense; we can call it Cirque De Nonsense. Every self-proclaimed “fantasy influencer” on the internet is taking victory laps on their one good call of the season while pretending the other 27 misses never happened. Some clown is doing touchdown dances on TikTok because a player they mentioned in July finally scored, and others are telling you to “smash that like button” instead of explaining why the QB they told you to play just threw three picks.

Meanwhile, you’re over here trying to figure out which Chargers running back is even startable or just a cautionary tale. That’s where I come in. (Neither guy is playable)

This week, we’ll cut through the noise and focus on what matters, who’s making you money, and who’s breaking your heart. Hype videos won’t win you a fantasy matchup, but knowing who to trust in Week 6 just might.

Let’s start with the guys who’ll make you smile on Sunday, the Money Makers, and we will finish up with the Heart Breakers.

Week 6 NFL DFS Money Makers

Here is a brief definition of each of my terms for anyone who might be new:

💰 Money Maker – This player will perform better than expectations

💔 Heart Breaker – This player will perform lower than expectations

💰 Money Makers

Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Stafford has passed for over 375 yards and 3 touchdowns in each of the past 2 games. It is a total of 764 yards and 6 touchdowns over that two-game span. In Week 6, the Rams will play the Ravens. The Ravens give up the second-most fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks. Easy call, play Stafford.

$6,400 on DraftKings
$7,700 on FanDuel

Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers

The Niners will play the Buccaneers in Week 6. The Buccaneers give up the sixth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Looks like Brock Purdy will be out. Jones has been excellent in his three games this season. Jones has gone for over 280 yards and or multiple touchdowns in every game. Smash spot, it doesn’t matter who is catching the ball.

$5,600 on DraftKings
$7,500 on FanDuel

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers will play the Dolphins in Week 6. The Dolphins are the third-worst team at defending the pass. This is a bounce-back game for Herbert in a great spot. Look for the Chargers passing game to heat back up in Miami.

$6,300 on DraftKings
$8,500 on FanDuel

Other Quarterback DFS Picks for Week 6

Drake Maye, New England Patriots

$5,900 on DraftKings
$7,800 on FanDuel

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

$6,200 on DraftKings
$8,300 on FanDuel

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers

$4,800 on DraftKings
$7,000 on FanDuel

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers

The Bengals defense is bad. The Bengals give up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Josh Jacobs is coming off his best game of the season and then a bye week. He is rested and well prepared for a defense that will not put up a fight. Looks like a high-touch game for Jacobs.

$7,300 on DraftKings
$8,700 on FanDuel

Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams

I mentioned that the Ravens do not defend the pass well. They also do not defend the run well. In the last two games, Nick Chubb and Isaiah Pacheco managed to achieve double-digit fantasy scores against the Ravens defense. Those guys have been bad, while Kyren has been great. Smash spot against the Ravens’ hobbled defense.

$6,300 on DraftKings
$8,400 on FanDuel

Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers

Everyone is talking about a revenge game for Rico against the Cowboys. They leave out that the Cowboys are defenseless this season. The Cowboys give up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Dowdle had 26 total touches in Week 5. He turned those touches into 234 total yards and a touchdown. The man was the Panthers’ offense. Look for another high-volume game in Week 6.

$5,800 on DraftKings
$6,600 on FanDuel

Other Running Back DFS Picks for Week 6

Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raider

$6,900 on DraftKings
$8,000 on FanDuel

Tony Pallard, Tennessee Titans

$5,500 on DraftKings
$6,000 on FanDuel

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots

$5,300 on DraftKings
$5,700 on FanDuel

Wide Receivers

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

If you didn’t get the message this week, it is “start your Rams.” The Ravens’ defense stinks. Wide receivers average 14 receptions, 159 yards, and 2 touchdowns per week against the Ravens. Puka will do Puka things that have made him the number one wide receiver in fantasy.

$8,700 on DraftKings
$9,800 on FanDuel

Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers

The Panthers play the Cowboys in Week 6. The Cowboys give up the most fantasy points to wide receivers. McMillan has a 25% share of Panthers targets. He has not seen fewer than 8 targets this season. The volume will be there. The game has an over/under of 49.5, so this should be a shootout. I like Panthers players in DFS this week

$6,000 on DraftKings
$6,600 on FanDuel

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans

In Week 5, Ridley finally did something after being poked with a stick by me for four straight weeks. Ridley saw 10 targets. He turned those into 5 receptions and 131 yards. In Week 6, he gets to play against the Raiders’ defens,e which does not defend the pass well. I left him for dead, I was wrong, he has life.

$4,900 on DraftKings
$5,700 on FanDuel

Other Wide Receiver DFS Picks for Week 6

Marvin Harrison Jr, Arizona Panthers

$5,300 on DraftKings
$6,900 on FanDuel

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints

$5,100 on DraftKings
$5,900 on FanDuel

DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers

$5,500 on DraftKings
$7,200 on FanDuel

NOTE: I also love Stefon Diggs this week as he has gone for over 100 yards in each of the last two games. Looks healthy and has had a massive 40% target share over those 2 games. He got a special spot in a note because I am a Patriots fan who loves Stefon Diggs. DK $5,800.

Tight Ends

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

The Browns’ best pass catcher is Njoku. In Week 5, Njoku’s stat line was good: 9 targets, 6 receptions, 67 yards, and a touchdown. In Week 6, he gets to play against a Steelers defense that gives up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. He has a chance against a bad defense, mostly because he is the best the Browns have. Not an overly optimistic write-up is it?

$3,500 on DraftKings
$5,700 on FanDuel

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers

Tucker Kraft is playing well this season. He leads the Packers in receptions (16) and receiving yards (225). He also has the best match-up possible in Week 6. The Packers play the hapless Bengals defense, which gives up the most fantasy points to tight ends. Is this write-up more positive than the Njoku one?

$4,700 on DraftKings
$6,700 on FanDuel

Other Tight End DFS Picks for Week 6

Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys

$5,300 on DraftKings
$7,000 on FanDuel

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

$4,300 on DraftKings
$5,900 on FanDuel

Jake Tonges, San Francisco 49ers

$3,700 on DraftKings
$5,600 on FanDuel

DEF

Green Bay Packers

The Packers play the Bengals in Week 6. The Bengals have given up 50 fantasy points to opposing teams’ defenses over the past 3 games. The Bengals’ offense has been brutal since Joe Burrow got injured. This is your weekly reminder to play the defense playing the Bengals. Plus, the Packers’ defense is good.

$3,700 on DraftKings
$5,000 on FanDuel

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders play the Titans in Week 6. The Titans desperately want to give up the most fantasy points to opposing teams’ defenses, but the Bengals are simply the best at being bad. Please take this one with a grain of salt. The Raiders’ defense is not good. This is pure matchup play.

$3,200 on DraftKings
$3,800 on FanDuel

Tennessee Titans

For four straight weeks, the defense playing against the Raiders has scored double-digit fantasy points. The Raiders tend to cough up the ball a lot. The Titans should get at least a couple of sacks and an interception in this one.

$2,400 on DraftKings
$3,900 on FanDuel

NOTE: I rank these as Packers, Titans, then Raiders in order of who I would play. I wrote it up differently to see if you are paying attention.

💔Heart Breakers

Quarter Backs

Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

The Cardinals are up in Week 6. The Cardinals give up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks. Jones has lost a little of his early-season heat in the past two games. The Colts are 4-1. I expect this to be a game script type deal where Jonathan Taylor is the focus of the Colts’ offense, not the passing game.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

The Steelers will play the Browns in Week 6. The Browns’ defense is tough on the pass. Rodgers has not been spectacular. I hate you A-A-Ron. My personal dislike alone could have put him here. He is the guy who hurt your little sister; he broke her heart.

Gino Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders will play the Titans in Week 6. The Titans are a run funnel defense. This is an Ashton Jeanty game. You were not playing him anyway unless you suck at fantasy. Pee You!

Running Backs

James Cook, Buffalo Bills

Falcons give up the fewest fantasy points to running backs. The Bills play the Falcons in Week 6. Cook had a rough Week 5 against the Patriots’ defense. I am playing him in season-long. I just do not want to roll the dice as a pay-up in DFS with such a bad match-up.

Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens

Henry has not been good since about half the Ravens have been injured around him. Henry has not rushed for more than 50 yards in the past four games. This week, the Ravens play the Rams. The Rams give up the second fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs. Yuck. Stay away from me, Henry.

Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Kenny Gainwell looks good starting for the Steelers. He typically looks good in spot starts, but never seems to keep his juice if he gets more playing time. In Week 6, he gets to play a Browns defense that gives up the third-fewest fantasy points to running backs. I don’t like it, Kenny, I don’t like it at all.

Wide Receivers

George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys

The Panthers defend the pass well. How well, Reedy? The Panthers give up the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. The volume might be there, or Jake Ferguson gets MASSIVE volume in Week 6. I expect the latter.

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets

The Broncos are up in Week 6. Wilson was a Money Maker that delivered in Week 5. This week he is a Heart Breaker. Why? Because the Broncos are the third toughest defense against the pass. Wait, hold on, this isn’t even a main slate game. Yeah, I know, I hate the Jets and took the opportunity to pick on one of them.

Jalen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

The Miami passing offense looks kind of meh. Is Meh a word? I know Waddle was great in Week 5. That was then, and this is now. Just feels so meh.

Tight Ends

Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills

The Bills will play the Falcons in Week 6. The Falcons give up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Only 1 tight end has scored over 5 fantasy points against this Falcons defense in 2025. Buffalo also tends to spread the ball around well. Look to one of the wide receivers to have a good day in Week 6. Which one is unknown.

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Kyle Pitts is having a good season. It is Pitts’ Revival Tour. But do you know who gives up the second-least amount of fantasy points to tight ends? Well, that would be the Bills. Not a single tight end has surpassed 50 receiving yards yet this season against the Bills
