A classic NFC showdown marks the end of Sunday in Week 6. Two high-powered offenses will trade blows at Lambeau Field as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Green Bay Packers. While CeeDee Lamb and Christian Watson are clear starts, there are still difficult decisions to make. Who can you trust in your lineup on Sunday Night Football?

Week 6 SNF Fantasy Preview
Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers (-1.5) O/U: 53.5
Clear starts: Dak Prescott, Javonte Williams, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jordan Love, Christian Watson, Matthew Golden
MarShawn Lloyd – RB, Green Bay Packers
Despite Josh Jacobs missing the first five games of the season, there has not been a consistently great RB option in Green Bay. MarShawn Lloyd leads the team with 40 rushing attempts, but he is averaging just 2.8 yards per carry. Kaleb Johnson has just six fewer rushing yards than Lloyd despite having 13 fewer carries. Even in a game where the Packers won 31-7, Lloyd only managed 10 carries. Both Kaleb Johnson and Pierre Strong Jr. Game script has been an issue for the Packers all year, but Lloyd failing to record a massive workload is concerning.
It’s clear at this point that Lloyd is unlikely to be a great start at RB. However, he gets enough work to be fantasy relevant. Along with his 40 carries, Lloyd has been targeted 13 times. That’s fifth on the team, and the most amongst Packers RBs. Lloyd also leads the backfield in red zone rushes with 11, though Chris Brooks is right behind him with six. Lloyd only has two goal-line carries, so his TD upside may be limited. The Cowboys allow the seventh most fantasy points to RBs. Unfortunately, this game projects to be a shootout so passing could be heavy for both teams. It’s unlikely that the Packers hold a big lead for long, but Lloyd still has FLEX appeal. You can even start him as your RB2 to fill in for an injury or a bye week in Week 6.
Pierre Strong Jr. – RB, Green Bay Packers
After being elevated from the practice squad last week, Pierre Strong Jr. made an impression. The former Patriot and Brown has failed to emerge as a starting RB, but he could have fantasy value in Week 6. Strong ran the ball five times for just seven yards against the Bears, but he was targeted four times. In fact, Strong ran the most routes of any Packers RB and out-targeted MarShawn Lloyd per PFF. Strong has never had a full workload, but he carried the ball 63 times for the Browns in 2023. The following year he only ran 26 times, but he was targeted 22 times. In his senior year at North Dakota State, Strong finished with 22 receptions. While that isn’t a massive workload, he is no stranger to catching out of the backfield.
Running backs have only been targeted 21 times against the Cowboys this season, fourth lowest in the NFL. However, Dallas allows the seventh most fantasy points to the position. The Cowboys have not versed many great receiving backs, though. Devin Singletary caught all four of his targets for 22 yards and a TD in Week 1, and Rachaad White caught all six of his targets for 40 yards in Week 2. Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell were targeted a combined seven times, which they turned into five catches, 20 yards, and a TD last week. Strong may not in line for his best game, but he has appeal in deep PPR leagues. You can slot Strong into your FLEX spot in a pinch, but don’t expect high-end upside.
Ryan Flournoy – WR, Dallas Cowboys
While CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens are drawing nearly half of Dallas’ targets, Ryan Flournoy has had solid target numbers. Flournoy is improving from a good sophomore season and averages 38.8 receiving yards per game and is on pace for almost 92 targets based on his current pace. The problem is that none of this has resulted in much fantasy value. Flournoy averages just 7.1 PPR points per game, peaking with 12 last week.
The Packers allow just the third fewest yards to WR3s per FTN, and they allow the 14th fewest fantasy points to the position. Green Bay has faced some below-average offenses, though, but they still rank 4th against the pass in DVOA. On the other hand, the Packers allow the fourth most fantasy points to RBs, and their defense ranks 28th in DVOA against the run. Expect a big game for Javonte Williams, but a slight downgrade to any receivers not named CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens. Flournoy does average 6.7 yards after the catch per reception and may have a decent floor just based on volume, but this does not look like his week. You can stash Flournoy on your bench, but he’s not the most exciting start on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.
Tucker Kraft – TE, Green Bay Packers
After tearing his ACL last season, Tucker Kraft is slowly returning to form. Kraft failed to score 10 PPR points in his first three games, but has since hit that mark in consecutive contests. Targets are not an issue, either. Kraft is averaging 5.8 targets per game, an increase from last year. Though he did only play half of the snaps in the game, he got injured. Fantasy managers should be happy with nearly six targets per game regardless, but they should want and expect more. This offense has become much more condensed with the departures of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, as well as Jayden Reed’s injury. Josh Jacobs has also been on the commissioner’s exempt list all season and is expected to return to play next week.
Where Kraft excelled last season was his yards after the catch. Kraft was third in the league in yards after the catch per reception, averaging 10.8 yards. That led all tight ends in 2025. Kraft scored a whopping six TDs in just eight games. Still recovering from his ACL tear, that high-end YAC upside will take some time to materialize. This year, Kraft averages 6.5 yards after the catch per reception, 9th amongst TEs. That number could only improve as Kraft returns to form. The Cowboys are middle-of-the-pack against TEs in terms of fantasy points allowed, but they allow the fourth-highest DVOA to the position. Dallas’ defense ranks dead last in DVOA and EPA/play. In what is projected to be a shootout, Kraft should continue to look like a TE1. Start him with confidence in Week 6.
Jake Ferguson – TE, Dallas Cowboys
When he’s not scoring TDs, Jake Ferguson is unplayable at TE. Ferguson combined for three TDs and 30.6 PPR points against the Commanders and Ravens, but just 11.6 combined points in his other three games. Averaging just 8.4 PPR points per game, you need to be very confident that he will score to consider starting him in fantasy football. Ferguson has been targeted four times in the red zone this season. That ranks just behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens for the team lead this year. Ferguson is clearly a part of this offense, but his production takes a dip when both Lamb and Pickens are healthy.
Last year, when CeeDee Lamb missed most of Week 3 and all of Week 4, 5, and 6, Ferguson averaged over eight targets per game and scored four of his eight TDs. The Green Bay Packers allow the ninth fewest points to TEs this year. This game does have a point total around 53 points, so Ferguson could be in play for a TD if this becomes the shootout that many expect. However, don’t expect a high target share or a ton of yards. Ferguson is a risky play in a bad matchup. Keep him on the bench on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.
