Week 9 Running Back Sleepers and Streamers

It’s time, once again, to go in search of the top Week 9 running back sleepers and streamers for our fantasy football teams. Last week, there were two big hits. Breece Hall finally had a game we all knew he was capable of and had seen him do in the past. He faced the Cincinnati Bengals and did not disappoint. Hall had 133 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 34.86 fantasy points. He finished as the RB4.

RJ Harvey was one of our sleepers and had the best game of his rookie season so far. He had three total touchdowns. Although he had 49 total yards, the touchdowns are what propelled him to finish as the RB6 with 24.10 fantasy points.

Tyler Allgeier could never get it going because the Miami Dolphins destroyed the Atlanta Falcons. The same can be said for Rico Dowdle as the Buffalo Bills obliterated the Carolina Panthers.

Running Back Sleepers

Kyle Monangai @ Cincinnati Bengals

Kyle Monangai is serving as the RB2 behind D’Andre Swift for the Chicago Bears. In Week 7, he finished as the RB12 with 81 yards and one touchdown. He did not do anything in Week 8 and finished as the RB52 with 24 yards. In Week 9, the Bears are facing the Bengals. The same team that just gave up over 150 rushing yards to the New York Jets. Swift will lead the way, but Monangai will get his touches against the worst run defense in football. Monangai will find the endzone and score at least ten fantasy points this upcoming week.

Bam Knight @ Dallas Cowboys

Bam Knight has surpassed Michael Carter as the RB1 for the Arizona Cardinals. He has finished as the RB28, RB15, and RB23 in his three games. Now, he faces the Dallas Cowboys, who gave up over 150 rushing yards to the Denver Broncos. The Cowboys are giving up over 28 fantasy PPG to opposing running backs this season. That is the second most. Knight will finish as a top 20 running back and have over 12 fantasy points in Week 9.

Running Back Streamers

Kimani Vidal @ Tennessee Titans

Kimani Vidal has done well filling in for the injured Omarion Hampton. Vidal has finished as an RB1 in two of the past three games. Last week, he had 117 rushing yards and a touchdown. That landed him as the RB8 for Week 8. Now, he faces the Titans in Week 9. The Titans are allowing the third-most fantasy PPG with 28 PPG through eight weeks of football. The Los Angeles Chargers should dominate the Titans. Overall, that means Vidal will get even more touches on the ground as the game gets out of reach for the Titans.

Chase Brown vs. Chicago Bears

I have been the biggest Chase Brown hater this season, but he did well in Week 8. Brown had his best game this season. He had over 100 total yards and two touchdowns. He finished as the RB5. Now, he faces the Bears in Week 9. The Bears are allowing the tenth-most fantasy PPG to running backs. Joe Flacco has done a great job filling in for Joe Burrow. The offense has been playing well, and Brown’s best two games this season have happened with Flacco as the QB.
