The 2025-2026 EPL starts up on August 14. That means it’s time to get ready to draft! So here is the first iteration of my 2025 EPL Draft Rankings.
The start of every season brings with it hope and possibility. A good draft is the best way to be on your way to a great EPL Fantrax Draft season.
You need a plan when walking into the draft. This is an especially difficult year in my humble opinion. There has been a lot of movement since the end of last season, which means there are lots of questions going into the season.
Top 75 EPL Draft Rankings
General Thoughts
There are no questions for me about who should be in the top five of every draft: Bruno Fernandes, Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer, Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka. There’s a case to be made for each of these as the top pick. These players stand out as sure things (barring injuries). Getting one of these players sets you up for a good draft and a good season.
And Alexander Isak at 6 is solid.
After that, there are lots of questions… lots of questions.
The next set of players are mostly either moving teams or on teams that have made moves. While these are quality players on the field, those changes can have real effects on fantasy outputs, in either positive or negative ways. It’s going to be very interesting.
Draft Tips
For the first four rounds, simply pick the best player on your draft chart. Don’t worry too much about positions. Just get the best available. But do remember that top forwards are limited, so if you’ve got a chance, I’m leaning forwards early.
Take players who score in multiple ways. Goals are great. Assists are great. But good Fantrax EPL draft players get points in multiple ways. Find players who are around the ball, take kicks, and earn both defensive and attacking stats.
As you move later into the draft, balance day in and day out players with players who can be a risk but have a high upside.
Draft goalies late. Very late.
Draft with your head, not your heart. (But it’s understandable if you draft with your heart over your head)
Have fun.
