2026 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings

We are officially less than a month away from kickoff, which means draft season is finally here! As the great Michael Scott once said, “I am ready to get hurt again.”

Welcome to my complete 2026 fantasy football quarterback rankings guide. This is not a drill. As any seasoned fantasy manager knows, the quarterback position is one of the most critical elements of your entire roster construction. Whether you prefer to invest early in an elite dual-threat superstar or wait it out to grab maximum value in the double-digit rounds, your draft strategy under center can make or break your championship run.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune next season.

Before you finalize your draft board, make sure you do your homework. I wrote two key quarterback guides that will give you a huge leg up during your draft prep:

To truly understand how to approach this year’s draft, we first have to look back at how last season played out. So, here is a look at the final 2025 quarterback finishes to give you baseline context before we dive into the updated rankings.

The Injury Report: Context Behind Last Season’s Finishes

If you build your draft strategy purely on last year’s end-of-season point totals, you are setting yourself up for failure. Total points without context lie, especially when evaluating QBs who missed significant time or played through major injuries. A brutal wave of injuries knocked several stars down the leaderboard last year. Because of that, you need to look past the surface stats when checking out my 2026 fantasy football quarterback rankings.

Key Elite QB Bounce-Back Candidates

  • Lamar Jackson (Finished: QB20): A persistent hamstring injury severely hampered Lamar throughout the year. Even though he toughed it out across 13 games, he clearly lacked his trademark explosive mobility, cratering his fantasy production down to QB20. Fully healthy now, he represents immense bounce-back potential in our 2026 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
  • Jayden Daniels (Finished: QB34): Following an electric rookie campaign, Daniels hit a sophomore slump defined by recurring injuries. Every time he showed signs of regaining form, another hit forced him back to the sideline. With a full offseason dedicated to physical recovery and body preservation, Daniels is primed to justify or even outperform his current ADP.
  • Joe Burrow (Finished: QB29): Burrow’s season was a roller coaster that started sluggishly before a major injury knocked him out for an extended stretch. He closed out the year on an absolute tear once he hit full health. While Cincinnati must prioritize protecting their franchise cornerstone, Burrow is a smash-hit value if he slips into the middle rounds of your draft.

High-Value Injury Discount Targets

  • Patrick Mahomes (Finished: QB11): Mahomes was putting together a dominant bounce-back campaign before a late-season ACL/LCL tear in December cut his 2025 short. However, the recent news out of Chiefs camp couldn’t be better. Mahomes reported to training camp fully cleared for practice and passed his rigorous fatigue, stability, and cutting tests without restrictions. He is firmly on track to suit up for Week 1 against Denver on September 14. Draft him with confidence. He’s back near the top of elite draft boards, though I do slightly prefer the next quarterback on this list for what it’s worth.
  • Brock Purdy (Finished: QB24): A major foot injury sidelined Purdy for the vast majority of the regular season. However, once he stepped back onto the field late in the year, he was absolute fire for fantasy managers. He remains one of the most consistently underrated values in all 2026 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
  • Jaxson Dart (Finished: QB14): Dart proved to be a league-winning waiver add or late-round pick last year, leveraging his high-floor rushing ability to crash the top 15 despite playing in only 14 contests. His dual-threat versatility makes him an extremely dangerous weapon heading into year two.
