Each week, we do research on top of research while managing our fantasy teams. Why not put that research to good use and enter the market of prop plays? You already have thoughts on which players will do well each week, and more importantly, how they will perform statistically, so let’s put that to good use. Derived from my research, here are some NFL Week 1 prop plays that I’m targeting on FanDuel Sportsbook.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune this season.
NFL Week 1 Prop Plays – FanDuel Sportsbook
Bryce Young Over 208.5 Passing Yards (-114)
When we think of Young, it’s important to think of the quarterback we saw strictly in the second half of the season. That was after Tetairoa McMillan found his groove, and there was a strong correlation with Young’s success. He’s in place to continue to take the next steps in his development this season. Young threw for 266 yards in a must-win game in Week 18 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and followed that up with 264 yards in a touch matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
This is also a situation in which Young will be forced to keep up with Caleb Williams and the prolific Chicago Bears offense. As the Panthers’ run game works into form, there should be an even larger emphasis on Young and the passing game. This should prove to be a manageable number.
Breece Hall Over 64.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Give the man some respect. Hall is coming off a 2025 season in which he broke the 1,000-yard mark; albeit barely. Hall finished with an average of 66.6 yards per game, so the good news is that it puts Hall just over his yardage prop for Week 1. The Tennessee Titans’ defensive line shouldn’t offer much resistance for Hall.
Knowing that Hall is capable of surpassing this mark with ease is certain to attract our attention. This is a big season for Hall as he looks to make good on his upside as the Jets’ offense looks to turn in the right direction. He has the offensive line to do it, and there are multiple metrics that back up Hall’s tools and talent. To this point, staying healthy and finding consistency have been his biggest issues. At least for Week 1, that part is covered.

Travis Etienne Over 2.5 Receptions (-114)
Last season, Etienne had 36 receptions, which averaged out to about 2.1 per game. I understand that puts him under this week’s prop number, but we aren’t done yet. Last year, the Jaguars had a plethora of receiving options, and now Etienne is in New Orleans. Originally brought in to work in tandem with Alvin Kamara, the backfield, for this week, belongs to Etienne with the former injured.
Even in a down year, Kamara caught 33 passes in 11 games last season. The Saints will be trying to keep up with the Lions’ passing attack, which means the focus will shift to the passing game. Etienne is a capable receiver, and New Orleans’ offense supports it. This is a manageable number as we follow the game flow path.
Odell Beckham Over 10.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Someone other than Malik Nabers is going to catch the ball for the Giants this week. In fact, we are also unsure of what Nabers will even be able to contribute in Week 1 as he returns from a major knee injury. We know who Beckham used to be and what he used to be capable of, but I don’t think the book on him is closed just yet. Beckham looked good in training camp and certainly did enough to earn his role with the Giants this season. While it still might be unclear what that role may be, Beckham will at least have a role. And asking for just 11 receiving yards out of him should be very attainable.
