2026 Fantasy Football: Week 6 Tight End Streamers and Sleepers

With four teams on bye for Week 6, fantasy football managers are about to get a rude awakening as to what the Tight End landscape truly looks like. Managers will be without some key Tight End position players like Detroit’s Sam LaPorta. Let’s take a look at  the best tight end streamers and sleepers available to target for Week 6.

Week 6 Tight End Streamers

Brenton Strange

Strange is starting to heat up at the right time, seeing 16 targets while hauling in 14 receptions for 163 yards over his last two games. He’s led Jacksonville in receptions in back-to-back weeks as well.  Strange has commanded 32 percent of the Jaguars’ first-read targets during this stretch. For context, Parker Washington is the only other Jacksonville player with more than six first-read targets over the past two weeks, and he still trails Strange by three. The Jags get the Texans in week 6, but the metrics are pretty hard to ignore.

Pat Freiermuth

The Muth finally had his breakout performance, finding the end zone twice Sunday and putting together his best fantasy outing of the season. What makes this performance even more encouraging is that his usage was also at a season-high level. Freiermuth posted a 79 percent route rate and a 21 percent target share, both personal highs this season. He also accounted for 42 percent of Aaron Rodgers’ air yards, another season-best mark.

The matchup vs. the Colts was amazing, and Muth took advantage. Here’s what we can’t ignore: the opportunity. Pittsburgh has been dealing with injuries at wide receiver. Freiermuth has totaled 32.2 fantasy points over his last two games and saw a season-high seven targets in Sunday’s win over the Colts. With Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson unavailable for Week 6, there could be room for Freiermuth to stay involved. He’s worth considering as a Week 6 streamer against Tampa Bay.

Week 6 Tight End Sleepers

Tyler Higbee

Higbee continues to get the job done, recording at least 60 receiving yards in three straight games. He followed that stretch up with six catches for 83 yards in Monday’s OT loss to Buffalo. Even with Colby Parkinson returning from a one-game absence, Higbee remained the Rams’ primary pass-catching tight end.

Los Angeles also carried just three tight ends on its active game-day roster after carrying four or five during the first month of the season. Higbee’s continued involvement makes him worth a look, especially with a favorable divisional matchup against Arizona coming up in Week 6. He’s best viewed as a lower-end TE1 for managers dealing with bye-week problems.

Chig Okonkwo

Through three games this season, Okonkwo has caught eight of 13 targets for 81 yards. The numbers haven’t been eye-popping overall, but there’s reason to be optimistic about his outlook moving forward.

Entering Week 5, Okonkwo and quarterback Jayden Daniels had only played one game together. They showed better chemistry against New York, connecting four times for 60 yards on a team-high six targets. Okonkwo was a sleeper value during the offseason and seems to have found some footing with Daniels. If this connection continues to develop, Okonkwo could become a sneaky option for fantasy managers looking for help at tight end.
