CFB Sleepers on FanDuel: Week 6
CFB Day Slate (Cobbett)
QB Quinn Ewers, Texas $9,000
I like the value here. Quinn Ewers was off to a great start against Alabama before he was injured. He was 9-for-12 for 134 yards against one of the best defenses in the nation. If Ewers can find success against Bama, it leads me to believe he can do it against the Sooners. Oklahoma ranks last in the Big 12 in YPG allowed at 423. I think Ewers will really get this offense going, and we will see a high-scoring contest.
RB Emari Demercado, TCU $6,300
Yes, Emari Demercado is not Kendre Miller, but he still gets his Fantasy points. He is second in carries and second in rushing touchdowns behind Miller, but they are both tied at an insane 7.6 YPC.
Demercado has also scored a touchdown in every game. TCU has been a team to select from on FanDuel. With the lack of defense expected in this one and at this price, if he hits his average, it would provide tremendous value to your lineup.
WR Xavier Worthy, Texas $7,900
I like the Ewers-Worthy stack here. I think this will be a high-scoring outing, and Ewers will be happy to throw it to Worthy often. The sleek speedster has averaged 13.5 FPPG this season, but if he can find the endzone as he did twice last week, then you are in really good shape at this price.
WR Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee $7,300
Jalen Hyatt is the Vols’ leading receiver this season in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. In his last three games, he has averaged seven receptions and 99 yards while also notching two scores in that span. He averages 15.5 FPPG, and at this salary, all he needs is a touchdown and 100 yards and your lineup will get a huge boost.
CFB Night Slate (Cobbett)
QB Cam Rising, Utah $10,100
Despite the Bruins having the second-best defense in the Pac-12, I like Rising in this one. He is coming off his best performance of the campaign as he produced 33.26 fantasy points with three passing touchdowns and another on the ground.
Rising has averaged 2.8 touchdowns a game this season. A note of interest on Rising: In Utah’s two toughest games this season (Florida and Oregon St.), Rising has averaged seven carries and 82 yards. In another tough game this weekend, perhaps this trend will continue, and he will be productive in the air and on the ground.
RB Will Shipley, Clemson $8,800
Will Shipley has dominated this season. At 6.3 YPC and seven touchdowns, this kid has not had a bad week yet. Last week was Shipley’s worst DFS performance, but it was against one of the best defenses in the nation. He still managed to get double digits. Shipley averages 13.2 carries a game, 82.6 YPG, and 19.2 FPPG. Boston College gives up 154.4 YPG on the ground, and I believe that Clemson and Shipley raise that number this weekend.
RB Travis Dye, USC $8,900
The Cougar’s defense has seen some great success this season, shutting down the opposition’s run game as they have been holding opponents to less than 100 YPG. However, this is by far the best offense Washington State has seen this season, and I think Dye will once again have a productive showing.
Outside of his Week 1 outlier, Dye has averaged 20.3 FPPG and has notched at least one score in each of the four games since. USC’s offense is insanely good, and the Cougars won’t be able to keep up. As soon as they focus on the pass game, Dye will be able to break off some big runs.
WR Brock Bowers, UGA $8,500
This is a great number for Brock Bowers. Auburn’s defense is mediocre, and Bowers will show up in this rivalry game. Though his fantasy points have had some noticeable fluctuations, I expect the tight end to show out and be a productive option for your DFS lineup this weekend.
