Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Week 18 Forward Streams

There are some great options to choose from this week even though there aren’t as many games as normal for many of the teams. Some of the young players in the league who are breaking out have still been overlooked in fantasy hockey, so this is your chance to take advantage and stream a good player that will likely help you out in Week 18. Here they are.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 18

Eeli Tolvanen, Seattle Kraken

Eeli Tolvanen hasn’t been as productive offensively as expected this season, but he is coming around. He has scored goals in four of the last five games and has five points in those five games. The power forward is playing on the second line with Chandler Stephenson and Oliver Bjorkstrand and the chemistry has formed quickly.

Tolvanen is on the second power-play unit, which is still a formidable one, but he hasn’t produced on the man advantage since December. I guarantee he continues to shoot the puck now that he’s finding the back of the net more. He has a playmaking center who will be looking to get him the puck more given Tolvanen’s success. I mentioned power forward and that’s because he hits a lot. In banger leagues, the winger is much more valuable because of this. We’ll be looking for Tolvanen to continue his offensive production on the second line with games against the Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Calgary Flames this week.

Adam Fantilli, Columbus Blue Jackets

Ever since Sean Monahan got injured and the role of the top-line center on the Columbus Blue Jackets was up for grabs, Adam Fantilli stepped in and stepped up. The second-year forward has played very well and is in the midst of a breakout season in the middle of Kirill Marchenko and Dmitri Voronkov. Fantilli is on the top power-play unit, is shooting more, and is making hits and blocking shots to go along with it.

Fantilli has five goals and eight points in his last six games, but going back further, he has nine goals and 16 points in his last 14 games. The young center has been consistent in producing since moving up to the top line and Monahan isn’t going to be back in the short term. The Blue Jackets match up against the Buffalo Sabres, Utah Hockey Club, and New York Rangers. It isn’t a particularly difficult schedule and Columbus should be able to score a fair amount of goals at the least.

Pavel Dorofeyev, Vegas Golden Knights

Pavel Dorofeyev is another young forward having a coming out party, but this time for the Vegas Golden Knights. He’s earned it, but he’s playing in the top 6 and on the top power-play unit for Vegas and it’s paying off greatly. Dorofeyev has 22 goals and 35 points this season, but when it comes to scoring at 5-on-5 or on the power play, he’s one of the top players.

He has a goal and four points (two on the power play) in the last three games, but he has eight goals and 14 points in the last 11 games. Dorofeyev shoots a lot and will sprinkle in some blocks, but he has found good chemistry on a line with Tomas Hertl who is also playing very well. The Golden Knights play the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Boston Bruins in Week 18.

In a week where there aren’t as many games as there normally is, make sure to stream a forward who is playing at least three times to get the most out of your addition. All of these players have been worth it recently and I expect them to continue producing for at least the next while. If this helps you, be sure to come back next week for more of the best forwards to stream.
