It is a fairly busy week this week and goaltending is more important than ever down the stretch leading into fantasy hockey playoffs. If you are here, that means you need a goalie to stream this week, so here are three strong options that are not only starting, but performing well.
Fantasy Hockey Week 21 Goalie Streams
Karel Vejmelka, Utah Hockey Club
Karel Vejmelka might be the goalie who has appeared here the most this season as he has been good, but since the Utah Hockey Club has been out of the playoffs this season, he’s been on the waiver wire in the majority of leagues. He has been the clear-cut starter this season and was just signed to a new deal, but now has no competition in net because Connor Ingram just entered the player assistance program.
Vejmelka has started six games in a row and eight of the past nine. In those six previous starts, he has posted a .938 SV% or better in four and has four wins. He even just played both games of a back-to-back as well. Utah has four games all spread out this week, so there is a solid chance he plays in all four. The team faces the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken, and Vancouver Canucks. It is a week where I can easily see Utah taking three of those games and they will be battling hard trying to sneak into the playoffs.
Spencer Knight, Chicago Blackhawks
Spencer Knight has played great since coming over in a trade from the Florida Panthers. He should be considered the starter for the Chicago Blackhawks but is splitting the games. In his two starts since changing teams, he has won both games he has started in and has a .951 SV%.
I don’t think Knight can keep those numbers up, but it is an indication of what he can bring to the Blackhawks and to your lineup for a short time this week. With Arvid Soderblom getting the start in the last game, that means Knight is set to start two of the three games this week for Chicago. First he should play the Colorado Avalanche and then the Canucks. The Blackhawks play the San Jose Sharks in between that. Knight has 14 wins, a 2.36 GAA, .913 SV%, and two shutouts this season in 23 starts.
Lukas Dostal, Anaheim Ducks
With John Gibson out of the lineup again, Lukas Dostal has the reins in net and continues to show why he should be the starter in Anaheim moving forward. He has appeared in eight of the last nine games even though he didn’t start every one of those. He has won seven of his last 11 games and has a SV% better than .900 in eight of those games.
The Ducks are bad this season even though the team isn’t in the playoffs. Last year was much worse. This is a team that believes they can still climb in the standings and get into the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The team has been playing well and proving it’s possible. The Ducks have four games this week and a fairly easy schedule past the first game against the Washington Capitals. Following that, the team plays Utah, the Nashville Predators, and St. Louis Blues to close out the week. There is one back-to-back in there and Gibson may come back this week. However things play out, expect Dostal to play 2-3 of the games and get at least two opponents who aren’t sitting in a playoff spot.

All three of these potential streamers have the ability to provide you with a great week and should give you more than enough games to compete in fantasy hockey in Week 21.
