There’s no tougher decision in fantasy baseball then whether to use a pitcher returning from an injury or not. This is especially true for ace-caliber pitchers that are supposed to anchor a fantasy team’s rotation. Though, usually the first outing after an injury absence is usually a rough one that can do more harm then benefit. That’s exactly what happened last week with Spencer Strider and George Kirby. It’s also a decision fantasy managers will need to face next week with Logan Gilbert and Aaron Nola. Knowing it usually takes an outing or two for pitchers to shake of the rust is an important insight used in this week’s, and future, starting pitcher rankings.
