G5 Waiver Saviors
Quarterbacks
Jaylen Raynor, Arkansas State
Fantrax Rostership: 26%
Total Fantasy Points: 65.5
Fantasy Points Per Game: 21.8
In terms of fantasy production, Jaylen Raynor has had his ups and downs this season. Raynor’s last 3 outings have resulted in fantasy points of: 33.5 (SEMO), 10.8 (Arkansas), and 21.18 (Iowa State). Raynor and Arkansas State have a date with Kennesaw State this weekend.
Kennesaw State allowed Wake Forest QB, Robby Ashford, to throw for 218 yards and run 18 times for 42 yards. Additionally, he added a touchdown on the ground for a fantasy outing of 18.92 points. In Week 2, we witnessed Fernando Mendoza light up this defense for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air. Lastly, we just saw Merrimack’s QB throw for 148 yards and run the ball 22 times for 59 yards. Similar to Ashford, Merrimack’s QB ran one in, too! Because of the success others have had against this defense, I look for Jaylen Raynor to have a BREAKOUT game in Week 4. Raynor is certainly a solid Week 4 G5 Waiver Wire Savior!
Bishop Davenport, South Alabama
Fantrax Rostership: 11%
Total Fantasy Points: 66.6
Fantasy Points Per Game: 22.2
Similar to Jaylen Raynor, Bishop Davenport has had a roller coaster type start to the season. His fantasy points for the last 3 weeks are: 15.54 (Morgan State), 33.54 (Tulane), and 17.50 (Auburn). Week 4 brings forth a matchup against Coastal Carolina. Against FBS opponents (Virginia & East Carolina), Coastal Carolina has allowed an average of 287 yards passing and 2 touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. Altogether, look for Bishop Davenport to have a “up” week against the Chanticleers.

Running Backs
Kejon Owens, Florida International University (FIU)
Fantrax Rostership: 28%
Total Fantasy Points: 62.7
Fantasy Points Per Game: 20.9
Kejon Owens has had a great start to the season. We saw him rack up 20.70 fantasy points in Week 1 against Bethune-Cookman. Week 2 against Penn State was a little tougher sledding as he only amassed 7.80 fantasy points. However, last week we saw him drop 34.20 points on Florida Atlantic. Owens currently ranks 5th in the G5 in total yards per game with 115 yards. He is certainly seeing plenty of opportunities, too, as he is averaging 16 touches per game. FIU has Delaware in Week 4. Delaware has allowed a 116-yard and 2-touchdown performance to UConn’s Cam Edwards and a 123-yard performance to Delaware State’s Marquis Gillis. All in all, Kejon Owens is one of my favorite G5 Waiver Wire Saviors in Week 4.

Jalen Dupree, Colorado State
Fantrax Rostership: 20%
Total Fantasy Points: 26.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 13.2
Jalen Dupree had a solid 17.20 fantasy point performance against Washington in Week 1. So much so, I recommended him as a option for you to pick up and play in Week 2 against Northern Colorado. I am not sure what happened in that Week 2 contest as the Rams struggled; thus, Dupree only netted 9.10 fantasy points. Moreover, heading into this week, there was speculation of a quarterback change. Colorado State looked so good in Week 1 and yet so bad in Week 2. Nevertheless, I am choosing to believe they used their bye week to get back on track and look more like the team we saw in Week 1.
The Rams’ Week 4 opponent is the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA). UTSA saw Texas State running back Lincoln Pare rush for 71 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Additionally, Texas State quarterback Brad Jackson added 34 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi is no Brad Jackson when it comes to his legs. Therefore, when the Rams are inside the red zone, I look for Fowler-Nicolosi to hand the ball to Dupree. All in all, Dupree is an upside Week 4 G5 Waiver Wire Savior.
Wide Receivers
Chas Nimrod, University of South Florida (USF)
Fantrax Rostership: 6%
Total Fantasy Points: 34.8
Fantasy Points Per Game: 11.6
USF relies on a fast-paced and EXPLOSIVE offense. Chas Nimrod is averaging 82 receiving yards per game, which is 17th in the G5. They love to use him down the field, as can be evidenced by his 19.6-yard average depth of target (aDOT). He has seen at least 5 targets in all 3 games this year, including a season high 10 targets last week against Miami (FL). The South Florida Bulls have a date with South Carolina State in Week 4. In Week 3, South Carolina State played Bethune-Cookman. Maleek Huggins, Bethune-Cookman wide receiver, had himself a day as he caught 8 balls for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. All in all, I look for Chas Nimrod to EAT in Week 4. Therefore, if you are in need of a wide receiver in Week 4, look to Nimrod as an option as your G5 Waiver Wire Savior.

Cade Harris, Air Force
Fantrax Rostership: 26%
Total Fantasy Points: 53.4
Fantasy Points Per Game: 26.7
I would like to highlight Air Force wide receiver Cade Harris. The service academies (Army, Navy, and Air Force) like to utilize an option offense. Because of that, Harris is averaging 8 rushing attempts per game through 2 games. Harris rushed for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns in their contest against Bucknell. He also hauled in 3 balls for 83 yards and 1 touchdown in that Week 1 contest. Cade followed that performance up with a 72-yard game on the ground against Utah State, while adding 2 receptions for 63 yards. These 2 games have resulted in a 35.90 and 17.50 fantasy point performances. Given that, Cade Harris needs to be on your radar as a Week 4 G5 Waiver Wire Savior.
Tight Ends
Jaxxon Warren, Colorado State
Fantrax Rostership: 26%
Total Fantasy Points: 22.5
Fantasy Points Per Game: 11.2
Similar to my Jalen Dupree recommendation ahead of Week 2, Jaxxon Warren was my Week 2 selection at tight end. He had a GREAT Week 1 against Washington! He hauled in 6 balls on 11 targets for 79 yards and scored a touchdown. The following week was a dud because Jaxxon only had 1 catch on 4 targets for 16 yards. Despite the results, I will trust the process.
As I mentioned in my article last week, College Fantasy Football: G5 Waiver Additions, fantasy-producing tight ends are hard to identify in college football. Jaxxon Warren’s 11.5-yard average depth of target (aDOT) is something I especially like to see. This allows me to recognize he is not solely being used as a safety blanket by the quarterback. Colorado State is using him as a legit receiving weapon. Jaxxon Warren provides a HIGH ceiling. For that reason, I believe Warren is worth a pickup off waivers ahead of your Week 4 matchup.
