Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Week 2 Forward Streams

The 2025-26 NHL season has begun, and after an odd first week of fantasy hockey, we are back with the top streaming options at each position. Here, there are some forwards that you may want to grab right now, whether it’s just for this week or to hang on for longer.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 2

Elias Lindholm, Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have gotten off to a surprising start to the season, but some saw a better season coming. The team isn’t as injured, and it’s a fresh start, but on paper, the forward group looks pretty bad. One player who is in desperate need of a bounce back is Elias Lindholm, and his season has begun on the right foot.

Lindholm is centering the top line between David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie, the two other top forwards on the Bruins. He is also on the top power play, which has seen him average over 3:30 per game already. Lindholm has two goals and four points in three games, tied for the team lead. Playing in this role gives him the best chance to get back to that 42-goal, 82-point player he was in 2021-22. The Bruins don’t have the easiest matchups this week, but play the Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, and Utah Mammoth from Thursday to Sunday.

Frank Nazar, Chicago Blackhawks

Frank Nazar has immediately taken a big step forward this season, starting off with a goal and five points in the Chicago Blackhawks’ first three games. He is centering the second line and is on the top power play. There is a low chance he will play with Connor Bedard 5-on-5, but he hasn’t needed that yet as his speed and skill have broken through.

Even though the Blackhawks are winless through the first week of the season, Nazar has all the confidence in the world and is playing 20 minutes per game. His linemates are solid veterans in Teuvo Teravainen and Tyler Bertuzzi. Both can get on the scoresheet as well. Nazar hasn’t been afraid to hit or block shots thus far, either, adding to his fantasy hockey value. The Blackhawks aren’t going to find many easy opponents as they play the St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, and Anaheim Ducks, but they do have four games this week, including the one played Monday.

Zach Bolduc, Montreal Canadiens

The Zach Bolduc offseason acquisition has been excellent for the Montreal Canadiens already. He has already found himself on the second line and top power play and with his steady production thus far, it doesn’t seem like he’s going anywhere anytime soon. The 22-year-old has scored in each of his first three games and added an assist in his third game. Both points in his third game came on the power play.

Bolduc is shooting and hitting while in a spot to succeed in Montreal. It seems like he’s comfortable and will continue producing, but at a certain point, Ivan Demidov may take over with more ice time and time back on the top power play. For now, Bolduc should absolutely be streamed as he isn’t going to be dropped in the lineup while he’s hot. The Canadiens play the Seattle Kraken, Nashville Predators, and New York Rangers this week.

These three top streaming options at forward are only the tip of the iceberg. While they should definitely be picked up if you’re in need, there are going to be more sneaky potential waiver wire additions showing themselves early in the season.
