If you are reading this article, you’ve likely made it to the pinnacle of College Fantasy Football—the CFF playoffs. It is the time of the year when champions are crowned, and I’m sure many of you are fine-tuning lineups, perhaps in need of a strategic boost for a bye week or an injured player. We’ve shifted our focus from the weekly waiver wire to Week 12 sleepers, a crucial decision based on the high-stakes nature of the upcoming three weeks. The intensity and thrill of the postseason are palpable, and Chris Barristel is here to join me in guiding CFF coaches through this exhilarating journey.
There’s no such thing as too much football! 2025 is the perfect time to add the college game to your fantasy football repertoire. Whether you want to create your own league or join an existing league, the Fantrax College Football Commissioner is the place to go!
Week 12 College Fantasy Football Sleepers
Quarterbacks
Jeff Sims (Laub)
Arizona State vs West Virginia
O/U 47.5, ASU -10.5
FPPG: 11.9
Fantrax Ownership: 4%
Opposing Total Defense: 406 ypg & 30.2 ppg.
PFF Grade: 64.8
Jeff Sims, a player I never expected to add to a CFF column this season, has shown remarkable fantasy potential. With Sam Leavitt out for the season, Sims took over two weeks ago against Iowa State and scored 47.8 Fantasy Points (FPs). His performance, including 228 rushing yards and two touchdowns, demonstrates his significant fantasy upside. With upcoming games against West Virginia and Colorado, both with less formidable defenses, Sims is a long shot worth considering, offering a glimmer of hope in an emergency. His possible boost to your lineup cannot be overstated.
Samari Collier (Battistel)
Coastal Carolina vs Georgia Southern
O/U 57.5, Coastal +2.5
FPPG: 19.2
Fantrax Ownership: 8%
Opposing Total Defense: 464 ypg. & 34 ppg.
PFF Grade: 67.5
The College Fantasy Football playoffs have begun, and although this is considered a sleeper piece, Collier is a QB no one should be sleeping on anymore. Since taking over as the guy, the Chanticleers have not lost a game, and Collier has averaged a league-winning 30.1 FPs over his last four. That makes him CFF QB10 in FPPG across that stretch. Unreal production when you consider he has only one game in that span with more than twenty pass attempts. The passing volume does not need to be there when the efficiency is. He has seven passing touchdowns in that time, which pairs nicely with what he does on the ground. His recent performances have been exceptional, making him a strong contender for your lineup.
Rushing production is where the fun begins. Over the last four games, Collier is averaging 15 rush attempts, 89.5 rushing yards, and 1.5 rushing touchdowns per game. That is service academy volume, and I love it. CFF diehards do not get that kind of rushing floor very often, especially on the waiver wire, especially in the playoffs.
For the quarterfinal matchup, he faces Georgia Southern, a defense that opposing quarterbacks have been feasting on for fantasy purposes. Over their last four games, quarterbacks are averaging 26.3 FPPG against them, with both mobile and immobile quarterbacks scoring. Jaylen Raynor put up three rushing touchdowns in his outing, and Georgia State’s Cameran Brown averaged eight yards per carry with 120 yards on the ground. A sleeper no more. Collier needs to be added and started in the playoffs this week.

Joe Fagnano
UConn vs. Air Force
O/U 63.5, UConn -8.5
FPPG: 29.0
Fantrax Ownership: 31%
Opposing Passing Defense: 281 ypg. & 35.1 ppg.
PFF Grade: 90.1
CFF Diehards on Fire!
While the majority of CFF playoff teams are set at quarterback, some coaches might need help at the position. Who Ya Got at QB in a pinch this week?
- Cutter Boley, Kentucky: 11%
- Jeff Sims, Arizona State: 20%
- Samari Collier, Coastal Carolina: 45%
- Malik Washington, Maryland: 245
“Jeff Sims for me. Grizzled veteran with wheels on a team that will allow him to get touch after touch.” @aceholesrule
“Samari Collier for me. In 6-point passing TD leagues (he is a running QB, so I’m mainly showing how I earn these points), he has earned CFF players 37.3 and 41.1 FPs in back-to-back weeks. With Georgia State on the docket this week, sign me up!” @ProbascoLuke
Running Backs
Caleb Komolafe (Battistel)
Northwestern vs Michigan
O/U
FPPG: 14.8
Fantrax Ownership: 12%
Opposing Rush Defense: 100 ypg & 9 R-TDs
PFF Grade: 77.6
I know, I know, the matchup isn’t ideal this week for Northwestern, and it’s dicey putting a running back against the Wolverines’ defense, but the Wildcats have made it clear that Komolafe is the guy. Caleb has carried the rock on 53% of the team’s totes this season, and over the last two games, that number has jumped to 80%. That’s bell cow, RB No. 1 usage for the stretch run. With that kind of workload, I’m not worried about the Wolverines’ defense. Komolafe looks ready to steamroll them, Frank Castle-style.
He’s scored three touchdowns over his last two games and put up over 25 FPs each outing. Northwestern will be running the ball all day again this week. Only three of his nine games have gone under double-digit FPs this season, so I’m not expecting him to hit 25 for a third straight week, but his usage gives CFF coaches a solid floor if they are without Emmett Johnson or Antwan Raymond.
Clay Thevenin (Laub)
Louisiana Tech vs Washington State
O/U 47.5, Louisiana Tech +6.5
FPPG: 14.7
Fantrax Ownership: 6%
Opposing Rush Defense: 138 ypg & 13 R-TDs
PFF Grade: 79.7
During the CFF playoffs, I am seeking touches on the waiver wire at running back. I don’t want to get too tricky with inserting free agents into lineups. Yet. Clay Thevenin deserves to be acquired this late in the season and warrants a start in Flex positions. In the past two games, the Bulldogs’ runner has scored 61.4 FPs. He has crossed the goal line five times and rushed for 207 yards. Thevenin has also snatched six passes for 47 yards in the two outings. The matchup against Washington State is a good one, and Thevenin is the cornerstone of the Louisiana Tech offense.

Damon Bankston
New Mexico vs Colorado State
O/U 53.5, New Mexico -14,0
FPPG: 15.1
Fantrax Ownership: 11%
Opposing Rushing Defense: 178 ypg & 14 TDs
PFF Grade: 74.5
College Fantasy Football Diehards on Fire!
Despite exceptional teams in the playoffs, some CFF owners might need assistance in a Flex position. If required, identify the most intriguing player to pluck off the waiver wire for the CFF semifinals?
- WR Parker Kingston, BYU: 48%
- RB Clay Thevenin, Louisiana Tech: 24%
- WR Cameron Dorner, North Texas: 17%
- RB Nykahi Davenport, South Florida: 11%
“King me! King Me!!” @aceholesrule
“UAB allows 46.1 FPPG to WRs (5th worst in the nation). The Blazers’ DBs don’t discriminate whether they play on the outside or inside. Cameron Dorner lines up on the outside, and UAB allows 0.233 points per snap to outside pass catchers. Look for Dorner and Wyatt Young to EAT in Week 12.” @ProbascoLuke
Wide Receivers
Javen Nicholas (Battistel)
Charlotte vs UTSA
O/U 60.5, Charlotte +17.5
FPPG: 15.7
Fantrax Ownership: 6%
Opposing Passing Defense: 251 ypg & 21 P-TDs
PFF Grade: 77.5
If you told me I’d be writing about another LSU transfer wideout finding success at a new program, I wouldn’t call you crazy. I’d probably say it sounds about right, considering how well the Tigers are at recruiting for the position. Last week, it was Shelton Sampson Jr. going off for the Ragin’ Cajuns, and this week it’s another LSU transfer quietly becoming the go-to for his team.
Enter Javen Nicholas, the Louisiana native and three-star recruit, who has put up four touchdowns and 277 yards on ten receptions over his last two matchups. Operating primarily out of the slot for the 49ers, he has been a perfect one-two punch with Sean Brown on the perimeter over their last few games. This week, Charlotte takes on the Roadrunners in what shapes up to be a potential shootout. UTSA is favored by 17.5 points with the O/U at 60.5. It is an excellent spot for Nicholas. Charlotte will likely be playing catch-up most of the game, and I’m not expecting them to slow things down against a UTSA team that can score at will. This one is primed for the LSU transfer to shine.
Parker Kingston (Laub)
BYU vs TCU
O/U 52.5, BYU -6.5
FPPG: 15.5
Fantrax Ownership: 22%
Opposing Passing Defense: 242 ypg & 18 R-TDs
PFF Grade: 69.6
My 15-year-old daughter would make fun of me for bringing up Parker Kingston again in a CFF column. Nevertheless, just as I brush off her criticism, I am willing to feature the Cougars’ playmaker once again for readers. I do not want to place a player in my lineup without a certainty of earning double-digit touches. In three of the past four games, Kingston has over 10 targets and even collected 10 against Texas Tech despite only corralling five for 43 yards. The Horned Frogs’ pass defense is not close to the Red Raiders’, and the Cougars should find plenty of yards downfield. I expect Kingston to bounce back after a down performance and score over 15 FPs this week against TCU.
Honorable Mention
Cameron Dorner
North Texas at UAB
O/U 69.5, North Texas -18.5
FPPG: 12.2
Fantrax Ownership: 11%
Opposing Passing Defense: 220 ypg & 21 P-TDs
PFF Grade: 82.4
CFF All-Americans: Week 11
- QB Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt: 50.3 FPs
- QB Ashton Daniels. Auburn: 47 FPs
- RB Emmett Johnson, Nebraska: 44.2 FPs
- RB Anthony Hankerson. Oregon State: 36.7 FPs
- WR Beau Sparks, Texas State: 45.5 FPs
- WR Makai Lemon, USC: 39.5 FPs
- WR Jacob De Jesus, California: 38.9 FPs
- TE Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt: 24 FPs
- Flex Jackson Harris, Hawaii: 38 FPs
