Week 11 of the NFL season is about to get underway, and it is the perfect time to make some dynasty trades. With the playoffs being so close, teams are finally starting to meet in the middle. We are only four weeks away from the playoffs beginning. There are also some clear trade targets available for both contenders and rebuilders. And we will dive right into it, as our first player has garnered quite the headlines this week after his Monday night showing and comments made later in the week.

Week 11 NFL Dynasty Trade Targets
Contenders
Trade for A.J. Brown
I know how this sounds, especially after he said outright that fantasy football managers should drop him. However, if there was a week for A.J. Brown to have a big game, it’s this upcoming one. Brown has been great against man coverage this season. He averages almost four yards per route run against man coverage, which is fantastic. The Lions run the most man coverage in the league at 41%.
If there were a time to do it, it would be now for Brown. And the reward is starting to outweigh the risk, as all the panic is setting in. Nick Sirianni’s quotes have eased that panic, at least for me. They are calling plays for Brown, but teams are rolling the coverage his way. Even though time is running out, I think better days are ahead for Brown.
If I could send a young player in the Josh Downs tier and a second-round pick, whether that be in this year’s draft or in a future one. I would make that move. A first-round pick would be an overpay, and I would not be willing to go that far after the season Brown has had, but anything else should be on the table.
Trade for Aaron Jones
I highlighted the team’s receivers last week. Now, I will highlight their running back. Jones stepped right back into a workhorse role this week. He was on the field for 71% of the snaps against the Ravens and scored 15.9 fantasy points in PPR formats. This week, he gets a great matchup against the Chicago Bears, who are giving up the ninth-most rushing yards per game and the 15th-most fantasy points per game to running backs.
Couple that with an easy playoff schedule that sees him face three of the worst eight fantasy defenses against running backs, and it is easy to see why he is a trade target. Jones will not break the bank either. I would start by sending a mid-to-late second-round pick and a player like Jaylin Lane. Jones could help win leagues come December with some back-end RB1 and high-end RB2 performances late in the year.

Rebuilders
Trade for Luther Burden III
The breakout for Burden is coming. The rookie has a 136.4 passer rating when targeted. He is also averaging over three yards per route run. And yes, I know that the flea flicker against the Cowboys is carrying that stat a bit. However, when you turn on the tape, it is clear Luther Burden will be a productive receiver in this league. The only thing holding him back is that his head coach is not playing him.
That makes him a great trade target before he gets those snaps. Ben Johnson has strongly suggested throughout the week that those snaps are coming. I would be comfortable sending a late first-round pick or multiple seconds to get a trade done. All of the underlying stats are there, and the tape backs it up. It is only a matter of time before Burden gets a full-time role and starts to show out weekly.
Trade for Adonai Mitchell
Trading for Mitchell is more of a speculative addition. Yes, the situation is not great after his trade to the New York Jets. However, Mitchell will get some playing time as the team’s number one option after Garrett Wilson’s knee injury, which will sideline him for a few weeks. Mitchell has shown some flashes over the years, and a change of scenery may help him drastically.
Obviously, he has had his miscues this season, which include dropping the ball before scoring a touchdown and the big holding penalty on the Jonathan Taylor touchdown run in that Rams game. However, his athletic traits and his ability to gain separation make him a trade target for me. I would be okay with sending a late second-round pick or an early third-round pick, and including a low-tier player if necessary.
Final Thoughts
There are many great dynasty trade targets out there for either build. There will always be someone like an A.J. Brown sitting on a rebuilder or an Adonai Mitchell on a contender. And those are the players you should be looking for, who fit my build, but not my trade partner’s build. Those trades are the kind that ultimately end up being a win for both sides, as they fill the needs of both teams. And those are the ones I would look into.
So, as we head into Week 11 of the NFL season, look for outlier players on other squads and start from there for your dynasty trades. However, if there were one player on this list I would overpay for, it would be Luther Burden III. He could fit both builds with a late-season breakout here in the coming weeks. And those are the kind of players I want to be looking at when I make dynasty trades.
