Fantasy Hockey Week 11 Goalie Streamers

Joh Gibson, Detroit Red Wings

John Gibson has been very good lately and has played his way into the full-time starter role for the Detroit Red Wings over Cam Talbot. This is also partly due to Talbot playing very poorly over a good stretch of time. With the Red Wings playing four times (two back-to-backs), Gibson is set to start twice this week, but I wouldn’t put it past Detroit to start him three times if he continues to play so much better.

Gibson has won five games in a row and has two shutouts in his past three games with a SV% over .900 in three consecutive games as well. At the same time, Talbot has lost five games in a row and has a SV% of less than .900 in all five games. While having similar numbers overall, the starting job heavily leans in Gibson’s favor for the time being with the New York Islanders, Utah Mammoth, and then the Washington Capitals back-to-back looming this week.

Brandon Bussi, Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes just can’t lose when Brandon Bussi is in net. He has won eight games in a row and 10 of 11, while starting five of the last seven games in a three-goalie rotation. With his play and how the Hurricanes play in front of him, there’s no choice other than to play the newly crowned starter for Carolina.

Bussi has a 2.07 GAA and .910 SV% with one shutout on the season. In his last five games, he has recorded a SV% under .920 just once, has a shutout, and in the past two weeks, has a .931 SV%. The Hurricanes match up against the Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, and Tampa Bay Lightning, all winnable games, but the games in Florida are back-to-back, so expect two starts from Bussi.

Carter Hart, Vegas Golden Knights

Carter Hart started playing games again in the NHL in December, and he is seen as the starter for the Vegas Golden Knights, even though Akira Schmid held down the net for a good while. Hart has started three of the past four games and four of the past six. He has also won three of his four games this season.

Hart has a .900 or better SV% in three of his games, and the Golden Knights are a good team that leads the Pacific Division. Stream or pick up and hold onto Hart for as long as Adin Hill is out of action, as Hart will get the majority of starts on a top team. Vegas plays the New Jersey Devils, followed by the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers on a back-to-back, so expect two starts.

These goalies may not have been on your radar all season, but they definitely should be now if you’re serious about winning. Come back the next two days for forwards and defensemen as well.
