Welcome back, golf fans. The third leg of the 2026 PGA Tour fall season has a limited field of 72 golfers heading to Yokohama Country Club in Japan for the Baycurrent Classic. Formerly known as the Zozo Championship, the event will make its second appearance at Yokohama Country Club. This no-cut event has the best field thus far in the fall season, led by Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama, and Jacob Bridgeman, who all enter as Top 20 golfers in the DataGolf world rankings.
In this article, we will preview the course, look at the stats that should matter, then go over some of the top bets for this event. Let’s get started.

The Course: Yokohama Country Club
The course is a Par 71 setup that is listed at 7,322 yards on the initial scorecard. It is unique in that it only has three Par 3s, two Par 5s, and 13 Par 4 holes. Right off the bat, that does increase the weight of Par 4 Scoring in my model. Breaking those holes down further, there are three under 400 yards, five between 400 and 450 yards, and five more over 450 yards. Of those longer holes, four are over 475 yards and two are also over 500 yards. Strokes Gained: Approach is right at the top of my model this week, with long iron play getting some bonus weight as well. Off the tee, the fairways are average in width, but the trees closely lining them along with doglegs make driving accuracy much more important than distance this week when breaking down the off-the-tee stats. Finding the fairways and getting hot with the irons and putter is an excellent recipe for success this week. Last year’s winner, Xander Schauffele, won with a score of -19 with a total of 17 players reaching double digits under par. Provided the weather continues to look good, I would guess we see a similar winning score range this year. With only one year of data here at Yokohama Country Club on the PGA Tour, I will also heavily rely on current form over course history.
Stats & Trends That Matter: Finding the 2026 Baycurrent Classic Best Bets
Jacob Bridgeman (+2250 Outright / +380 Top 5 / +176 Top 10)
Bridgeman didn’t play the course last year but comes in ranked top 3 in both my current form and stats models this week. He is coming off his second career win at the inaugural Biltmore Championship, and it was no surprise seeing him lead the field in putting as one of, if not the best, putters on tour. What was also nice to see was the elite ball striking, as he was 10th in SG: Off the Tee and 3rd in SG: Approach. I love the outright and secondary market numbers for a player who is red hot and has the stats profile to go back-to-back.
Hideki Matsuyama (+1700 Outright / +305 Top 5 / +142 Top 10)
We were on Deki a lot to close out the summer, which proved to be profitable in the secondary markets as he tallied four straight Top 10s with two Top 5 finishes during that streak. He fell off during the playoff run and is now making his first fall start, looking to get back to that top form. The irons let him down at the Tour Championship, but before that he had gained strokes on approach in eight straight events. The biggest hurdle for Deki since his last win has been the putter, which has me once again heavier in the secondary market bets this week.
Johnny Keefer (+4600 Outright / +700 Top 5 / +310 Top 10)
While it has been a roller coaster ride during his rookie season, Keefer has flashed a lot of upside with two Top 5s and five Top 10 finishes. What grabs my attention the most this week is that two of those Top 10s have come in the first two events of the Fall season. He has displayed an excellent iron game during those past two events and has also gained strokes putting in five of his last seven events overall. He will be looking to be the 5th rookie to pick up a win in 2026, and I love the form, stats profile, and especially the current numbers in the betting market.
