Playing in a deep league is the ultimate fantasy baseball challenge. Every roster move and waiver wire addition can have season-altering ramifications. While the stress may be too much for some, the rewards are worth the effort for the committed players. One significant benefit of deep leagues is finding diamonds in the rough on the waiver wire. Oftentimes, these players quickly emerge from the depths of deep leagues to become must-add players in even the shallowest of leagues. For any deep league players that also play in shallower leagues, those waiver wire scouring efforts can create a significant advantage. That’s why I help expedite those research efforts every week by identifying top targets for deep fantasy baseball league waiver wire runs.
Deep League Waiver Wire Targets for Week 4
15-Team Mixed League Targets
1. Craig Yoho, RP, Brewers (27% rostered)
A pattern is emerging with the Milwaukee Brewers and their ability to develop elite relievers. After trading Josh Hader in 2022, the Brewers moved Devin Williams into the closer role, where he flourished. Now, with Williams’ recent departure to the Yankees, there’s an opening for the next dominant reliever to emerge. Interestingly, the most likely candidate, Craig Yoho, may not even be on the major league roster at this point. But that could all change any day, as Trevor Megill’s injury and Joel Payamps’ early struggles may have cleared the path. Yoho has already drawn recognition for his filthy breaking pitches this spring training, and we could see it on display in the big leagues soon.
As the Brewers monitor Trevor Megill's knee and figure out what to do about Joel Payamps, here's what Craig Yoho has been doing in Nashville:
Five games, no earned runs in 6 1/3 innings, three walks, two hit by pitch, seven Ks, one save. His last appearance was Thursday.

2. Joe Boyle, SP, Rays (26% rostered)
At the core of the ongoing success that the Tampa Bay Rays have had over the last decade, the common thread was their ability to develop young pitchers. In fact, many of those pitchers were often rehab projects like Zac Eflin, Ryan Pepiot, Pete Fairbanks, and several others. Now, the next promising project is the newly acquired Joe Boyle. This offseason, the Rays acquired the erratic flamethrowing Boyle from the Athletics as part of the return for Jeffrey Springs. Despite a 4.35 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in limited experience in the majors, Boyle excelled in his first appearance for the Rays. In this outing, he spun five innings of no-hit ball while striking out seven batters.

AL-Only League Waiver Wire Target
Dustin Harris, OF, Rangers (12% rostered)
It’s not often that a player batting .182 in the minor leagues gets the early call-up to the majors. Yet, that’s exactly what occurred with Dustin Harris on the Texas Rangers. Granted, his poor start to the season in AAA was only across nine games. In actuality, Harris was one of their most consistent minor league hitters last season, where he batted .278 with 10 home runs and 35 steals. Now a regular in the Rangers lineup over the last week, he’s carried that consistency into the majors. So far in his first 12 at-bats, he has two hits, a double, and a home run. Slotted in as the sixth hitter in the potent Rangers lineup, Harris could compile meaningful counting stats moving forward.
Dustin Harris is making the most of his opportunity—and it might force the Rangers to make a roster move. @Kane_McCutchen6 looks at how his strong play could shake things up in Texas.https://t.co/h4xAo46Saq

NL-Only League Waiver Wire Target
Griffin Conine, OF, Marlins (21%)
It’s no secret that the Marlins have had little to offer fantasy managers in terms of fantasy stars to choose from over the last couple of years. Though, ironically, they have been a haven for deep league waiver wire additions. Most notably, players like Tanner Scott, Xavier Edwards, Otto Lopez, and others have emerged over the last couple of seasons. Now it seems the trend is continuing with Griffin Conine’s recent mini-breakout. So far this season, Conine has turned his stellar exit velocities into consistent extra-base hit production with 7 total in his first 61 at-bats. In addition, he’s raised his batting average to .302 for the season with an elite .375 OBP. Grab Griffin Conine from the waiver wire while you can and plan for continued production that could warrant a regular lineup spot.
