The NFL offseason is full of movement via trades and free agency acquisitions, which in turn creates a domino effect in Fantasy Football. We often focus on the Dynasty Fantasy Football impacts of the individual player who signs with a new team or is traded, but not on the impacts on those around him. It is important to look at the bigger picture results of movement in the offseason.
I recently dropped a “losers” article on the NFL Free Agency, but I am looking on the brighter side of things today. Here are 14 players who have benefited from offseason moves around them. These players all get a Dynasty Fantasy Football bump due to environmental changes. Dynasty is all about value changes, and these players have had positive ones to note.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax this past season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune next season.
Dynasty Fantasy Football: 14 Silent Offseason Winners
1. Josh Allen (QB, Bills)
The Bills re-signed center Connor McGovern on a four-year, $52 million deal this offseason to lock in who snaps the ball to Josh Allen. The Bills made several other moves, but most beneficial to Allen was the acquisition of DJ Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick for a 2026 second-round pick. The Bills have not had a player finish with 1,000 receiving yards since Stefon Diggs was on the roster in 2023. Diggs finished with 1,183, 1,429, and 1,225 as a Bill 2023 back to 2021. Josh Allen, during those seasons, finished with over 4,300 passing yards, but has yet to hit 3,800 since. DJ Moore finally gives Josh Allen a WR1 again as a guy who has finished with over 1,100 receiving yards four times in his career.
2. Drake Maye (QB, Patriots)
The Patriots signed Alijah Vera-Tucker to a three-year, $42 million deal to add more protection to their franchise quarterback, Drake Maye. The Patriots also signed Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $70 million contract to replace Stefon Diggs. Doubs finished with a career-high 724 receiving yards in 2025, and in his final game as a Packer in the NFL Playoffs, he exploded. In that game, Doubs caught eight of his 11 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown, showing his true potential. The Patriots are not done this offseason either.
3. Garrett Wilson (WR, Jets)
The Jets added guard Dylan Parham to their offensive line this offseason on a two-year, $20 million contract. The Jets also acquired Geno Smith and a 2026 seventh-round pick via trading a 2026 sixth-round pick. While Geno is not the sexiest signing, he is a competent passer, which is more than the mix of Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, and Brady Cook the Jets had in 2025. Smith passed for 30 touchdowns back in 2022 and finished with 4,320 passing yards on a 70.4% completion rate in 2024. Wilson only played seven games in 2025, but the year prior, with Aaron Rodgers, he produced 1,104 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. This production with a veteran seems attainable with another veteran in Smith for 2026.
4. Luther Burden III (WR, Bears)
The Bears shipped DJ Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick off to the Buffalo Bills in return for a 2026 second-round pick. DJ Moore vacates 85 targets from the regular season, and his 15 targets in the Bears’ two postseason games ranked second. Olamide Zaccheaus, now a Falcon, vacates another 65 targets. Luther Burden III, as a rookie, finished with a 39.7% snap share on the year. A number that will change with the departure of Moore and Zaccheaus. The 60 target total for Burden should also go up. Burden flashed his dynamic playmaking as a rookie, with three weeks over 80 receiving yards and two weeks over 100 receiving yards. Burden is a breakout candidate due to his talent and a changed opportunity for 2026.
5. Tyler Warren (TE, Colts)
The Colts extended Alec Pierce on a major four-year, $114 million contract this offseason, and also shipped away Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers. MPJ vacates 111 targets from 2025. The Colts also extended Daniel Jones on a two-year, $88 million deal. The Daniel Jones to Tyler Warren connection was great in Weeks 1-13 prior to Jones suffering a major injury in Week 14. During this span, Warren ranked fourth (tied) in targets with 78, fifth in receptions with 58, third in receiving yards with 684, fourth in total Fantasy Points, and seventh in Fantasy PPG at 13.1. Vacated targets and Dimes back are a boost for Warren.
6. Patrick Mahomes (QB, Chiefs)
The Chiefs signed Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III to a three-year deal worth up to $45 million. KWII rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns with 29 receiving yards in the NFC Divisional. He then rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown with 49 receiving yards in the NFC Championship. Then in the Super Bowl, KWII rushed for 135 yards and finished with 26 receiving yards. Workhorse volume paired with workhorse production. Since Patrick Mahomes has been the starter (2018 on), he has never played with a running back who has hit 1,000 rushing yards in a season. So, having an actual run game should help complement Mahomes and keep defenses honest, which could bump efficiency and production. The Chiefs also re-signed Mahomes’ best friend, Travis Kelce, to a one-year, $12 million deal. No need to talk about their connection.
7. Jaxson Dart (QB, Giants)
The Giants hired John Harbaugh this offseason, who finished his Ravens tenure with a record of 180-113. The Giants extended offensive linemen Jermaine Eluemunor, Evan Neal, and Aaron Stinnie, as well as added fullback Patrick Ricard on a two-year deal. Isaiah Likely was signed on a three-year, $40 million deal to take on the TE1 role. Likely produced 477 yards and six touchdowns back in 2024 with Harbaugh as a Raven. Darnell Mooney was also signed on a one-year deal worth up to $10 million. Mooney produced 992 yards in 2024 and 1,055 yards back in 2021. So after a rookie season filled with tons of upside flashes as a dual-threat quarterback, Jaxson Dart gets a solid Head Coach upgrade, gets Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo back from injuries, and has two new weapons at his disposal. Dart started 12 games as a rookie, with seven of those starts meaning 20+ Fantasy Point outings, so 2026 could be a huge year of production.
8. Matthew Golden (WR, Packers)
Romeo Doubs signed with the Patriots this offseason, vacating 85 targets from the regular season, and Doubs was also the most productive receiver for the Packers in the playoffs. As a first-round rookie in 2025, Matthew Golden played 53.6% of the snaps this season and earned 44 targets through 14 games played. Golden flashed with 86 yards in Week 6, and then he went on to produce 84 yards and a touchdown in the lone NFL Playoff game for Green Bay. While I am not extremely confident in Golden’s position in the target share next season, competing with Tucker Kraft, Christian Watson, and Jayden Reed, I am confident that Golden will be on the field more. One less consistent target for Jordan Love could mean Golden rising to the occasion and having a year two leap for Fantasy Football.
9. Justin Jefferson (WR, Vikings)
The Vikings signed Kyler Murray to a one-year deal, $1.3 million deal. The Vikings had all of JJ McCarthy (10 games played), Carson Wentz (five games played), and Max Brosmer (eight games played) at quarterback to some capacity last season. McCarthy completed 140 of his 243 passes (57.6%) for 1,632 passing yards with 11 touchdowns but 12 interceptions. To put it simply here, JJ did not look the part, and looks like a quarterback who needs time to grow. Murray is a true dual-threat quarterback, but focusing just through the air, he has finished four seasons with 3,700+ passing yards and two seasons with 24+ passing touchdowns. In 2020, with Kyler, DeAndre Hopkins caught 115 balls for 1,407 receiving yards, which is encouraging for Justin Jefferson. Jefferson produced a career-low 1,048 receiving yards in 2025, but 2026 with Kyer will be a bounce-back season. Kyler’s legs can also open things up for the pass-catchers, and I expect this to be a true upgrade that Jettas needed.
10. Trey McBride (TE, Cardinals)
The Cardinals announced this offseason that Jacoby Brissett would return as the starter for 2026, and they also insulated Brissett with the signing of Gardner Minshew on a one-year, $5.75 million deal. Trey McBride absolutely exploded in 2025, with a majority of the production being attached to Brissett. McBride caught 126 of his 169 targets for 1,239 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. 169 targets and 126 receptions were the most by a tight end in a single season, and his 1,239 receiving yards rank 11th most ever for a tight end. Only five wide receivers averaged more Fantasy Points than McBride’s 18.6 in 2025. Brissett being back feels like a “run it back” type of McBride year for 2026.
11. Tyler Shough (QB, Saints)
The Saints re-signed offensive lineman Dillon Radunz to a two-year deal and then signed guard David Edwards to a four-year, $61 million contract. Travis Etienne was a major signing on a four-year, $52 million deal. Etienne had a major 2025 bounce-back with 1,107 rushing yards, 36 catches for 292 receiving yards, and 13 total touchdowns. Noah Fant was also signed to a two-year deal, who produced 500 yards in 2024 and has two seasons of 670+ receiving yards under his belt. A new starting guard, a major addition to the running back room to complement the passing game, and another tight end with solid experience are all boosts to Tyler Shough, heading into his rookie year. Shough impressed with 2,384 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, 186 rushing yards, and three rushing touchdowns through 11 appearances in 2025. A true breakout candidate for 2025, and the Saints are rumored to be to eyeing another wide receiver to add to Chris Olave in the NFL Draft.
12. Brock Purdy (QB, 49ers)
The 49ers signed tackle Vederian Lowe to a two-year deal and tackle Brett Toth to a one-year deal to bulk up their offensive line. The 49ers have George Kittle on the road to an Achilles recovery, and are likely to lose both Jauan Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk, so they were proactive by signing Mike Evans to a three-year, $42.4 million deal. Evans dealt with injuries in 2025 that limited him to eight games, but before that, he finished 11 straight seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards. Christian Kirk was also signed to a one-year, $6 million deal, who produced 1,108 yards back in 2022. During the Fantasy Football Playoffs this year (Weeks 15-17), Brock Purdy was on absolute fire, averaging 297.7 passing yards, 3.7 passing touchdowns, and 32 Fantasy Points. Adding two veteran receivers, who have a history of yardage upside, along with adding depth to the offensive line, was a great move for Purdy moving forward.
13. Quinshon Judkins (RB, Browns)
The Browns bolstered their offensive line by trading for Tytus Howard and extending him on a three-year, $63 million deal. The Browns also signed Zion Johnson to a three-year, $49.5 million deal, as well as Elgton Jenkins to a two-year, $24 million deal, and also extended Teven Jenkins. The added protection with no added running backs this offseason is huge news for Quinshon Judkins, who produced 827 rushing yards, 26 receptions for 171 receiving yards, and seven total touchdowns in his rookie season. Judkins dislocated his ankle and fractured his fibula, but if he is healthy for 2026, we can see a true Fantasy Football breakout. Judkins rushed for 80+ yards five times, 90+ yards three times, and finished two games with multiple rushing touchdowns.
14. Zach Charbonnet (RB, Seahawks)
Kenneth Walker III departed in Free Agency to become a Chief, following winning Super Bowl MVP with the Seahawks in the 2025 season. The Seahawks ended up signing Emanuel Wilson on a one-year deal worth up to $2.1 million, following him flashing as the RB2 behind Josh Jacobs in Green Bay. Zach Charbonnet rushed for 730 yards, caught 20 balls for 144 yards, and scored 12 total touchdowns in 2025 while splitting duties with KWIII. Charbs, unfortunately, tore his ACL in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. The Seahawks not signing KWII and bringing in Wilson vs. the other Free Agents that were available is a positive sign for Charbonnet once he returns. If Seattle does not draft a quality running back in a weaker running back class this year, the writing for a near workhorse role for Charbs could be on the wall.
