MLB Injury Report
Ronald Acuna Jr. – OF Atlanta Braves
https://twitter.com/DOBrienATL/status/1950667364061626409
While Acuna is slated to miss significant time here, it’s good news nonetheless. First, it’s a calf strain and not an Achilles injury, which is a huge difference in recovery. As stated, it’s possible that the superstar could be back within two or three weeks, though with him being someone who runs, he will need to be fully recovered. And with the Braves likely out of contention by then, his status for next year will be the main focus for Atlanta, making it quite possible that this proposed timeline is longer.
Juan Soto – OF New York Mets
Juan Soto's foot is feeling better today, but he's still sore and is receiving treatment
The Mets are hopeful that he'll be in the lineup on Friday pic.twitter.com/tpKy2DpAj3

It’s good that Soto is feeling better and was able to do a lot of baseball activities yesterday. The hope is that this ongoing treatment will continue to the point of his returning on Friday. Stay tuned.
Shohei Ohtani – SP/DH Los Angeles Dodgers
Shohei Ohtani updates on the cramps. He felt them since the 1st inning and overall hasn't felt great over the last couple days. Pitched around it quite well all things considered. Will be able to make his next scheduled start! Rest well on the day off tomorrow 🙏

During last night’s game, Ohtani was pulled early due to what was called cramping. The good news is that this was not an arm-related injury, and he was able to stay in the game as the team’s designated hitter. However, there are some concerns here, such as the fact that he said he hadn’t felt well for days. This is something to monitor moving forward. It’s hard to tell what the future holds, but as long as Ohtani wants to pitch, he will seemingly get a chance to do so. What that will do to his body and production as a hitter remains to be seen. He is human, just like all of us, but is he a superhuman?
Yordan Alvarez – OF Houston Astros
Dana Brown said on the @SeanUnfiltered show that Yordan Alvarez could return in the middle of August
— Michael Schwab (@michaelschwab13) July 30, 2025
It’s good news that he has some sort of a timetable attached to his recovery, as fantasy players may want to plan accordingly. However, given that he is still a member of the Astros and gets treatment from their medical staff, this timeline should be treated with a grain of salt.
Isaac Paredes – 3B Houston Astros

Speaking of the Astros’ medical staff, we are almost two weeks removed from when Paredes last played, and the team still has yet to come up with a concrete diagnosis or plan moving forward. Now, with season-ending surgery on the table, it’s fair to assume that Houston will seek an upgrade at the deadline.
Jeremy Pena – SS Houston Astros

There are reports that Pena will return tomorrow, and his performance last night showed that he’s probably ready. Be prepared.
Jackson Chourio – OF Milwaukee Brewers
No updates on Jackson Chourio’s hamstring from Pat Murphy.
Still working through imaging, diagnosis.
— Todd Rosiak (@Todd_Rosiak) July 30, 2025
Chourio didn’t come into last night’s game as a reserve either. We should know more in the coming days, possibly today.
Jonathan India – INF Kansas City Royals
Jonathan India is dealing with a sore shoulder following last night's game, so #Royals have him on the bench today. Quatraro said India is available but they're being cautious and giving him today + tomorrow's team off day.
— Anne Rogers (@anne__rogers) July 30, 2025
India did not enter yesterday’s game, and with the team being off today, there’s a chance that he returns healthy and ready to play tomorrow.
Andres Gimenez – 2B Toronto Blue Jays
Andres Gimenez (ankle) is expected to begin running the bases by Friday in Toronto. He could get out on a rehab assignment shortly after if all goes well
— Arden Zwelling (@ArdenZwelling) July 30, 2025
Judging by this timeline, we can expect Gimenez to return to the Blue Jays by the end of next week. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
Alejandro Kirk – C Toronto Blue Jays
Alejandro Kirk (concussion) is tentatively on track to play a game in Triple-A Saturday, which would put him on track to be activated Sunday if all goes well over the next few games. #BlueJays
— Keegan Matheson (@KeeganMatheson) July 30, 2025
Kirk appears to be on track for a quick return, provided he can clear all protocols and successfully play in a rehab game on Saturday. He should be ready to be activated for next week’s lineups.
