Somehow, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still in first place in the NFC South. After a strong start to the season, things have gone quickly downhill for the Buccaneers. It’s been a tale of two halves to the season for Tampa Bay. They are coming off a tough home loss to the New Orleans Saints, and tonight is as close to a must-win as it gets.
The good news for Tampa Bay is that they are facing the 4-9 Atlanta Falcons at home. Despite that, it does project to be a close game as Tampa Bay is favored by just 4.5 points. There should be a fair amount of offense tonight with the over/under at 44.5. Now, let’s dig into our Thursday Night Football DFS picks so you can set that winning lineup.

Thursday Night Football DFS Notes
Should we Have Faith?
We have been down this road with Kyle Pitts for essentially his entire NFL career. The talent is there, but the production has been inconsistent at best. Over the past few weeks, a season-ending injury to Michael Penix has brought Kirk Cousins back into the starting lineup. Also, with Drake London now slated to miss his fourth straight game, Pitts continues to step into those targets.
While he doesn’t have a touchdown over the past three weeks, Pitts has been targeted 23 times. It has led to 15 catches for 197 yards, and we have to expect him to have a similar role this week. Pitts has shown a chemistry with Cousins, and someone has to catch the ball downfield.
Robinson Picks up the Yards
With only five rushing and two receiving touchdowns this season, that aspect of the game has been rough for Bijan Robinson. However, Robinson did break the 1,000-yard mark in Week 14, putting him at 1,081 for the season. From a receiving perspective, Robinson has also added 56 catches for 602 yards. That provides a solid floor for the running back.
In each of the past two weeks, with Cousins back under center, Robinson has 23 and 20 carries, respectively. He’s also added four receptions per week, and that workload should continue into Week 15.
Irving is Back
After a lengthy absence, Bucky Irving is back in the Tampa Bay backfield. Not only that, but the running back is producing. He has a touchdown in each of the last two weeks to go along with two receptions.
While we’ve yet to see him truly get going, Irving also has 81 yards in each of the last two weeks. It’s a solid matchup for the running back, and Tampa Bay will likely be leaning on Irving once again. That puts him on our DFS radar.
Godwin Has Returned As Well
As the Buccaneers look to hang onto the division lead, it’s a good sign that they are getting healthier. From a DFS perspective, it helps as well.
Over the past two weeks, Godwin has 78 and 55 yards while easing back into action. It’s a solid matchup, and things are lining up for Godwin to catch his first touchdown of the season.
Baker is Needed
It’s not a coincidence that Tampa Bay’s struggles have followed suit with Baker Mayfield’s. In a single-game slate, it’s hard to go without a quarterback, and Mayfield is the better one of the two. However, it’s been four games in a row for Mayfield with just one touchdown pass each.
Granted, there was an injury to his non-throwing shoulder that caused him to leave one of those games early. But regardless of that, Mayfield has struggled. We know a quarterback is in there, and this would be a great time for the veteran to step up.
