The week 16 EPL waiver wire sees a normal weekend of games, as the season gets closer to the halfway point.
Our Week 15 suggestion, Luke Shaw, played the full 90 in the 4-1 win against Wolves, but the single goal against kept him from more than just a solid day. Samuel Chukwueze didn’t keep his blistering scoring going, but it was against a solid Crystal Palace defense. Fantrax managers should consider holding him another week, as he travels to 19th-place Burnley next. Jack Hinshelwood was able to get a minute as a sub for Brighton. Lewis Miley had a similar fate with Newcastle.

Week 16 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 15 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Yeremy Pino – Midfielder – Rostered 48% – Crystal Palace vs Manchester City
Pino is still rostered in less than half the leagues. He had an assist in the 2-1 win against Fulham, and he seems to have found his place in the starting eleven for now. Hosting City isn’t a great matchup, although they did concede four on their last road game. Pino is a good choice going forward, too, as Palace have shown they are a team to be reckoned with. They also travel to 18th-place Leeds in the following game.
Joachim Andersen – Defender – Rostered 41% – Burnley vs Fulham
Outside of a few subpar games against top teams, Anderson has put up consistent quality points for Fulham. Even without clean sheets and goals against, the center back still scores points with defensive stats. Burnley have lost six straight games and have been held scoreless in their last three home games. All Fulham defenders are solid options on the EPL waiver wire with this matchup.
Emile Smith Rowe – Midfielder – Rostered 28% – Burnley vs Fulham
Smith Rowe has started the last two games for Fulham and scored against Manchester City in week 14. He should get the start again, especially as there are other injury concerns for Fulham. Burnley has the second-worst goals against record in the EPL, so Smith Rowe and teammates should have chances. Fulham needed this win after losing their last two.
Myles Lewis-Skelly – Defender – Rostered 29% – Arsenal vs Wolves
Lewis-Skelley has seen limited minutes this season, especially as a starter. Favored left-back Riccardo Calafiori is suspended because of yellow card accumulation, so the young back should get the start. There are injuries mounting for the Gunners defense, too. This is as a good a matchup as managers can ask for, as first-place Arsenal hosts last-place Wolves. Managers should be looking on the EPL waiver wire for any starters for the Gunners.
With mid-week games, suspensions, and injuries, Fantrax managers need to be ready to adjust. Trust your guts and the matchups. Good luck. Have fun.
