The Week 23 EPL waiver wire comes after a previous weekend with a ton of goals, including seven games with four or more goals.
Waiver wire suggestion for week 22, Martin Dubravka still scored 6 points despite conceding four, and Konstantinos Tsimikas had a solid nine. Matheus Nunes and Lucas Bergvall both disappointed.
Liverpool remains in control at the top of the table. There is still time for a chase, but that time is growing shorter. There’s a lot to play for though across the EPL table and for Fantax managers.
Week 23 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 23Â suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Yankuba Minteh – Forward – 46% Rostered – Brighton vs Everton
Mintah was fantastic in Brighton’s 3-1 win over Manchester United. He scored a goal and had an assist. That should be enough to keep him in the starting eleven when they host Everton, who have conceded at least one in their last five. Brighton have won two in a row and will be looking to continue their goal-scoring and winning ways.
Mikel Merino – Midfielder – 44% Rostered – Wolves vs ArsenalÂ
Merino is somehow still under 50% rostered. When he starts he’s putting up fantasy points. He’s started eight games so far this season. He has two goals and an assist thus far. He’s still not a locked-in starter for Arsenal, but if managers have a roster spot available, Merino is worth getting from the EPL waiver wire for the weeks he does start. Arsenal will be upset to drop points after being up by two goals and now trail Liverpool by seven points. Opponents Wolves have lost three straight by a combined 9-1 margin.
Jan-Paul van Hecke – Defender – 41% Rostered – Brighton vs Everton
Jan-Paul van Hecke has yet to score negative points as a defender this season, even though BHA has only five clean sheets this season when he has played. He’s picking up fantasy points with consistent defensive stats making him a good choice on the EPL waiver wire. Opponents Everton scored three last game against a struggling Spurs team, but had been shut out in three straight before that. BHA gave up just a single goal over their last two games.
Richarlison – Forward – 27% Rostered – Tottenham vs Leicester
Richarlison has spent much of this season recovering from one injury or another. He came on at half against Everton to grab his first goal of the season. Spurs will have a new manager, and they need a spark. Richy can be inconsistent, but he also can be very streaky. This is a good matchup and a chance for him to claim a starting spot up front. For managers looking for a forward, the Brazilian is worth a risk on the EPL waiver wire.
Go with matchups, as the teams at the bottom of the table continue to struggle mightily.
Have fun. Good luck!
