The Week 28 EPL waiver wire comes after a plethora of non-league games for EPL teams.
James Ward-Prowse and Patrick Dragusin both started and ended with solid points. Jack Harrison was decent but not great. Sasa Lukic has a poor game, including a yellow.
FA Cup games added potential roster issues for some EPL managers, as key players picked up injuries and red cards. It’s getting to be that time of the year where most players are droppable. It’s all about winning week to week.
Week 28 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 28 suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Curtis Jones – Midfielder – 34% Rostered –Â Liverpool vs Southampton
The matchup couldn’t be better, as the dominant league leaders host the last-place team in the league. EPL managers should start any and all Liverpool players here. Jones is one of the few Liverpool players available on the EPL waiver wire. He has three goals and three assists. Expect goals. Liverpool have the most goals in the league (66), and Southampton have conceded the most (65).
Tosin Adarabioyo – Defender – 24% Rostered –Â Chelsea vs Leicester
Tosin has an assist in Chelsea’s last game, adding to a shutout and a nice overall total. He’s become a steady, but not totally locked-in starter. Leicester also has the second-worst goals for in the EPL. Even worse, they’ve scored just two goals in their last seven goals and those were both against Spurs. That means they’ve been shut out in six of the last seven. I’m looking at a Chelsea defender that can I grab on the EPL waiver wire for this matchup.
Marshall Munetsi – Midfielder – 21% Rostered – Wolves vs Everton
Munetsi has found his way into the starting lineup for Wolves, starting their last two games and producing well. He has an assist against Bournemouth and has two shots in each of his three games. He’s listed as a midfielder but playing in a much more advanced role. Wolves are without Matheus Cunha, so they will need to find another way to score. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde might be worth a look too if he gets the start. Everton are on a seven-game undefeated run, and Wolves sit just behind them in the table. It’s worth noting that Munetsi and Wolves travel to last place Southampton in week 29.
Eddie Nketiah – Forward – 10% Rostered –Â Crystal Palace vs Ipswich
With Jean-Philippe Mateta out for about a month due to an injury, Nketiah should have a chance to start. He came in and scored in their FA Cup, so he’ll be wanting to build on that time. He has just a goal and an assist in the league. They’ve won five of their last seven games, and play 18th-place Ipswich who continue to struggle. Chris Richards and Adam Wharton are other fantastic options, who are available for many Fantrax managers on the EPL waiver wire.Â
Stay on top of injuries and suspensions. Go with the matchups. Have fun.
