The Week 29 EPL waiver wire sees Fantrax managers having to deal with four teams on a bye in the leauge.
Week 28 suggestions returned quality points. Marshall Munetsi scored for Wolves and looks like a good option moving forward. Tosin Adarabioyo registered a clean sheet against Leicester. Curtis Jones disappointingly came off at half, but not before scoring good points. Eddie Nketiah didn’t score, but he was positive on the scoresheet.
Liverpool and Newcastle play in the EFL Cup final this upcoming weekend. This means four teams will not play in the EPL for week 29: Liverpool, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. It also means those teams will have a double week in the future.
This is the week where you may need to use the waiver wire to fill gaps. Take some chances here if you need to.
Week 29 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 29 suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Jack Harrison – Midfielder – 37% Rostered – Everton vs West Ham
Harrison was recommended a few weeks ago, but he’s worth mentioning again. He scored against Wolves over the weekend, and he is playing with confidence. Everton are undefeated in their last eight games. Outside of James Tarkowski and Beto, Harrison has been Everton’s most consistent player during this stretch. Everton have scored two or more goals in their last four home games and haven’t been shut out since January 15th.
Matthijs de Ligt – Defender – 34% Rostered – Leicester vs Manchester United
It’s been hard to trust any Manchester United player who is not named Bruno. de Ligt though has had some consistency in their defense and in scoring. It’s been good but not great Fantrax points for him. Opponents Leicester have failed to score in their five games. This is a good matchup for United players in general, and it’s one they should win.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde – Midfielder – 24% Rostered – Southampton vs Wolves
Jaden Philogene-Bidace – Forward – 19% Rostered – Ipswich vs Nottingham Forest
Philogene-Bidace has started the last three for struggling Ipswich. During that stretch, he has fired off 11 shots, with six on target, and two goals. He’s added five key passes in those three games as well. Fantasy points add up quickly with stats like those. He’s a bright spot for Ipswich right now. Ipswich host Nottingham who have the third-best defensive record in the league, and who have shut out Arsenal and Manchester City in back-to-back games. So it may be asking a lot to rely on Philogene-Bidace for lots of points this game, but he could be a good player moving forward.
Be sure you’re getting a full starting eleven this week. Use the EPL Waiver Wire wisely. Watch the matchups. Have fun. Good luck!
