The EPL waiver wire for week 29 needs to be used quickly, as mid-week games pop up again with the match week starting on Tuesday. EPL managers will likely rotate, so EPL Fantrax managers will most likely have to do the same.

Week 28 suggestion Oscar Bobb got the start as expected for Fulham, rewarding the decision with an assist and a strong performance. Sepp van de Berg, despite conceding three goals, scored almost 20 points in a 4-3 win where he had an assist to add to his massive defensive stats. Jadon Sancho and all of Aston Villa disappointed as they fell 2-0 to last-place Wolves. Muani and Spurs disappointed. Again.
There were lots of goals in week 28. Will that continue midweek?
Week 29 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 29 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Valentin Castellanos – Forward- Rostered 37% – West Ham vs Fulham
Castellanos scored in a 5-2 loss and a goal bonanza against Liverpool. It’s his second goal since his arrival in January and his third double-digit Fantrax score. He’s started each game thus far, too, so if you’re looking for someone reliable, he is an option. West Ham sit in 18th, but just two points separate them from Nottingham Forrest. Each game is big. They brought him to score games and keep them up. It’s a home game against an in-form but sporadic Fulham team.
El Hadj Malick Diouf – Midfielder- Rostered 45% – West Ham vs Fulham
Diouf has now had back-to-back quality Fantrax points games (and really three of the last four). He has two assists over his last four games as well, including two clean sheets over that stretch. He’s being deployed as a wing back, so he’s been grabbing offensive and defensive points. Some leagues have him listed as a defender, which has some pluses and minuses. Diouf struggled for a while, but he’s shown again that he can produce solid points and should be considered on the EPL waiver wire.
Pascal Struijk – Defender- Rostered 37% – Leeds vs Sunderland
Struijk has been a consistent player for Leeds and for Fantrax managers. It’s positive points each week for Struijk, making him a quality player for managers to have on their rosters. He will pop up for double-digit points if he can add a clean sheet or a big offensive stat. Opponents, Sunderland, have gained a single point over their last four games. There’s nothing flashy about this pick, but consistent points can win games.
Zian Flemming – Forward- Rostered 10% – Everton vs Burnley
Flemming has scored back-to-back goals for Burnley, and forwards thrive on confidence. This means Flemming becomes an option for managers looking for something a little different. Burnley are playing now without much to lose, as their hopes for staying in the EPL dwindle. Everton have conceded at least one goal in their last six. Flemming should continue to start and should have opportunities. He’s averaging a shot on target over his last four, and against West Ham, four games ago, he got off seven shots.
Check injury and team news. Be ready to rotate. Have fun. Good luck.
