Arsenal and Manchester City, who play in the EFL Cup final on Sunday, plus their scheduled opponents, Wolves and Crystal Palace, are off in the EPL this week. The EPL waiver wire will be crucial for Fantax managers this week.

In week 30, Joao Gomes had an assist and a double-digit game for Wolves.  Alex Jiménez got a rare rest and only came on as a sub, but he still returned five points. Jose Sa had just a single save and his first negative score since August. Habib Diarra and Sunderland had a rough time in a 1-0 loss to the Seagulls.

Week 31 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Week 31 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.

Joachim Andersen – Defender –  Rostered 45% – Fulham vs Burnley

Anderson has been a rock for the Fulham defense. Over just his last three games, he has 20 clearances, five blocked shots, and eight aerials won. If he adds a clean sheet or pops up for a goal, he has the chance a for big points. Burnley have been shut out in their previous two games. He’s a good choice to fill in this weekend, as are most Fulham players against 19th-place Burnley.

Ethan Ampadu – Defender –  Rostered 43% – Leeds vs Brentford

Leeds have been up and down this season, but they’ve been slightly better in the second half of the season. Ampadu has more than nine points in his last four games. Only one of those includes clean sheet points, and there are no assists or goals either. That means the defender is scoring consistent defensive stats that are adding up. Leeds are better at home too. Ampadu is a quality choice on the EPL waiver wire, especially when rosters need to be filled.

James Ward-Prowse – Midfielder –  Rostered 33% – Fulham vs Burnley

JWP has had some productive outputs since his move to Burnley. When he starts, he is taking many of their corners and set pieces. Burnley have struggled on the attacking end all season, and there aren’t many options available for them. JWP offers experience and proven quality to a team in need of both. With only eight games left, their chances of staying up continues to shrink. They need players like JWP if they are going to finish strong.

Sven Botman – Defender –  Rostered 26% – Newcastle vs Sunderland

Botman has started in five of Newcastle’s last six games, and in those starts he’s been consistently good. He’s averaging over 13 points for those five games. He has a goal and a clean sheet for bigger points in that stretch too. Newcastle have won back to back games, while Sunderland have had a rough second half of the season. Botman should be a high priority on the EPL waiver wire for managers needing to fill a defensive spot.

Be sure to have a full starting eleven. Check team news. Have fun. Good luck.
