The week 33 Fantrax draft EPL waiver wire again has players and teams with double games: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Crystal Palace.
Donyell Malen came on as a sub and scored for his third straight game. Lewis Dunk and BHA were disappointing and gave up two goals to Leicester, who finally scored. Similarly, Trevoh Chalobah and Chelsea conceded two to relegation team, Ipswich, in a draw. Jefferson Lerma underwhelmed, as Palace got crushed by a combined 10-2 score over their two games.Â
Rotation continues to happen, so be prepared to make changes.
Week 33 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 33 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
John McGinn – Midfielder – Rostered 46% – Aston Villa vs Newcastle, Manchester City vs Aston Villa
Villa’s Champions League run is over, but it was a good run and McGinn was a big part of that. He had a goal and assist in the win against PSG, but it wasn’t quite enough. That time reduced his time in the EPL, but I expect him to get back more minutes now. With two games there’s additional change of playing time. He scored off the bench in his last EPL game too. Matty Cash is an option too.
Chris Richards – Defender – Rostered 44% – Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth, Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Richards was the only starting Palace defender to come out with positive points after conceding 10 goals in their two games of week 32. He scored in the first game and actually earned a penalty in the second, which Eze had saved. Richards has been incredibly consistent scoring in Fantrax, with or without clean sheet points. These aren’t easy matchups, but he’s getting points, making him a good option on the EPL waiver wire.
Jakub Kiwior – Defender – Rostered 25% – Ipswich vs Arsenal, Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Kiwior has been called in because of injuries and has started the last three for the Gunners in the EPL. His Fantrax point outputs haven’t been stellar, but he has two solid matchups this week. Ipswich sit in 18th, and while they have positive results, it’s a good matchup for Arsenal. Palace has lost their two games by a 10-2 margin and were shut out last game. Over two games, Kiwior is a good bet.
James Mcatee – Midfielder – Rostered 19% – Everton vs Manchester City, Manchester City vs Aston Villa
Mcatee got a surprise first start of the season in the last game, and he made the most of it. Pep seems to be looking more and more at the younger players on the team, and Mcatee will be looking to take advantage. This is a risky pick with an upside. The City midfielder scored last game and had four shots with two on target. He should have scored at least one more in City’s 5-2 win. The youngster brought good energy, so there’s a strong chance he gets the start in at least one of the two games. Both Nico González and Nico O’Reilly are considerations as well on the EPL waiver wire.Â
Go with double games as much as possible. Find the matchups. Have fun. Good luck.
