Rookie quarterbacks shined in Week 6, with Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, and Drake Maye all having top-12 fantasy finishes. Each has impressed in their own way, but only Daniels is the set-it-and-forget-it QB1 of the group. However, Maye joins Daniels as a top-12 play in Week 7 as Maye has arguably the best quarterback matchup of the week. To find out where all the rookies rank and which signal callers have favorable matchups, let’s move to the Week 7 quarterback rankings.

Injury Notes for Week 7
- Tua Tagovailoa is still recovering from a concussion. While he remains sidelined, Tyler Huntley will suit up in a favorable Week 7 matchup against the Colts.
- Anthony Richardson is expected to start for the Colts in Week 7, barring a setback. Top backup Joe Flacco has filled in nicely for Indianapolis in the interim and would be a solid QB2 if needed.
- Russell Wilson is healthy and “in consideration” to start in Week 7. The move is a head-scratcher, as Justin Fields has led the Steelers to a 4-2 start and is averaging 18.9 fantasy points per game — good for QB7 on the year. Stay tuned as the week progresses. UPDATE: Wilson has been taking first-team reps in practice this week and looks to be the Week 7 starter. He’s a back-end QB2 in a stingy matchup against the Jets on Sunday night
- Will Levis has been ruled OUT for Week 7. Levis has reportedly been dealing with a Grade 2 AC joint strain in his throwing shoulder and could miss multiple weeks. Mason Rudolph will get the start and is a low-end QB2 against a tough Bills defense.
Quarterback Notes
Bye Weeks: CHI, DAL
- My Baker Mayfield fade in Week 6 sure came back to bite me. Mayfield racked up 25.9 fantasy points, throwing for 325 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions against the Saints. Nothing is slowing Mayfield down this season. He’s the QB2 on the year and leads all quarterbacks with 17 total touchdowns. Mayfield should keep rolling this week in a battle against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Baltimore has ceded the most passing yards and the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. This game has a shootout vibe to it, and Mayfield should pile up the fantasy points. Mayfield is QB5 in the Week 7 quarterback rankings.
- Drake Maye is one of the biggest risers in the Week 7 quarterback rankings. His debut last week provided a sparkplug for the Patriots’ offense, as he passed for 243 yards and three touchdowns — Jacoby Brissett only tallied two touchdowns across five games this season. Maye also threw a couple of picks, but he tacked on 38 rushing yards and finished with 19.5 fantasy points. Up next is a tasty matchup against a Jacksonville defense that hemorrhages fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Jaguars have given up the most passing touchdowns and the second-most passing yards to the position. They’ve also been vulnerable on the ground, allowing the seventh-most rushing yards. Maye should be able to capitalize. Every opposing quarterback has had a QB1 fantasy finish against Jacksonville this year, including Deshaun Watson. I like Maye’s odds of continuing that trend, ranking him as QB12 in the Week 7 quarterback rankings.
- Kyler Murray falls just outside the top 12 in the Week 7 quarterback rankings. He has a stingy Monday night matchup against a Chargers team ceding the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Additionally, Los Angeles has limited damage through the air, allowing the fourth-fewest passing yards and only five passing touchdowns through five weeks. Murray has topped 15 fantasy points only twice this season and could be without Marvin Harrison Jr. again (concussion). He’s a top-tier QB2 in the Week 7 quarterback rankings.
- It’s been a mixed bag of a season for Andy Dalton. He came crashing out of the gate when he took over quarterback duties in Week 3 against the Raiders, throwing for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. But he’s since combined for four touchdowns and four interceptions over the last three weeks while not topping 225 passing yards in a game. However, Dalton has an opportunity to rebound in a Week 7 matchup against the Commanders. Washington allows 19.6 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Specifically, they’ve had problems containing the pass, surrendering the second-most passing touchdowns (12) and the ninth-most passing yards (1,397) through six weeks. Dalton should have no trouble connecting with favorite receiver Diontae Johnson in this one. Dalton is a solid streamer with upside in the Week 7 quarterback rankings.
