Welcome to our 2025 Consensus Shortstop Rankings! The corner infield slots were traditionally where fantasy baseball managers went for the big bats. First and third base still have their share, but the shortstop position is home to six players going in the first two rounds of a typical 15-team mixed league draft. And get this; there’s plenty of other reliable veterans and some more young players on the way up. Shortstop is a smorgasbord of fantasy goodness and you need to get your fill in 2025 fantasy baseball drafts.
Final 2024 Shortstop Values
Before we get to shortstop rankings for the 2025 season, it’s always a good idea to look back at the previous season. Sometimes we lose track of things that happened later in the season and we’re not getting the full picture. With that in mind here are the final shortstop rankings and dollar values for a typical 2024 15-team mixed 5×5 league as produced by the FanGraphs Auction Calculator.
