The Angels have been very aggressive with their prospects, and while a few have had a moderate level of success, they never seem to be what fantasy baseball managers were hoping for. Are there any prospects ready to break that mold? In this article, we’ll profile the top 20 fantasy baseball prospects of the Los Angeles Angels.
About our rankings
These prospect rankings are strictly fantasy-focused. While they are performance-informed, our rankings also lean heavily on upside. A high-OBP slugger with game power and pedigree is going to rank higher than a speedy slap hitter with limited fantasy impact, even if the latter is closer to the majors. Likewise, you can usually grab a league-average pitcher from the waiver wire. Our rankings will value the pitchers with the upside to be No. 1 and 2 starters much more highly than command pitchers who look to be roster filler.
Los Angeles Angels Top 20 Fantasy Baseball Prospects
These Top 20 Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings are largely based on our Top 500 Dynasty Rankings along with our Top 600 Fantasy Baseball Prospects, with a little tweaking done to accommodate recent news. Updates for both of those lists are also in the works and will be coming in short order.

Tyler Bremner (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 21 | Current Level: A+ | Bats: R | Throws: R
The #2 overall pick in the 2025 Draft and the best arm in the system by a significant margin, Bremner is a true pitcher rather than just a thrower. He pairs mid-90s heat with the best changeup in the draft class — a true double-plus pitch with heavy tumble and arm-side fade up to 20 inches. He opened 2026 at High-A and struck out six straight hitters to begin one gem, finishing with 10 Ks total. The Angels have a track record of fast-tracking college arms, and a 2026 debut remains on the table. Mid-rotation floor with higher upside if the slider develops into a reliable third offering.
George Klassen (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 24 | Current Level: AAA | Bats: R | Throws: R
Acquired from the Phillies as the headline return in the Carlos Estévez trade in 2024, Klassen has steadily improved his walk rate in pro ball and posted a 3.21 FIP with over 11 strikeouts per nine in 2025. He grades with the best curveball in the system. His Salt Lake debut in 2026 was encouraging — 4.2/3 IP, one earned run, five strikeouts, zero walks. Command has been the persistent question, but the pure stuff is plus, and an MLB debut in 2026 is very realistic.
Nelson Rada (OF) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 20 | Current Level: AAA | Bats: L | Throws: L
A speed and contact guy with elite defensive rankings, Rada profiles as a classic leadoff hitter — think Denard Span with a bit more speed. He grades as the best hitter and best defensive outfielder in the system, with a 60 run tool. The caveat is real: he continues to post below-average, if not well below average, exit velocities and hard-hit rates. The glove and on-base ability carry the profile; how much power he develops will determine whether he’s an everyday center fielder or a fourth outfielder.
Johnny Slawinski (LHP) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 19 | Current Level: ROK | Bats: L | Throws: L
One of the top left-handers in the 2025 prep class, Slawinski offers a combination of pitches, polish, and projectability rare for a high schooler. His low-90s fastball plays up due to carry and extension, with an upper-70s slider that flashes two-plane depth and a low-80s changeup with significant fade. The Angels gave him $2.5M as the second-round pick and view him as a building block. Long runway, but the feel for pitching is advanced for his age. One of the more intriguing dynasty stashes in the system.
Gabriel Davalillo (C/3B) – MLB ETA: 2030
Age: 18 | Current Level: A | Bats: S | Throws: R
Davalillo showed out in the DSL with a .926 OPS while drawing more walks than strikeouts. He grades with the best power in the system at 55, tied with Joswa Lugo and Raudi Rodriguez. Listed as a catcher/3B, the long-term defensive home is uncertain but the bat is the carrying tool. A name to monitor as he makes his stateside debut — the contact and power combination at 18 is legitimately intriguing.
Dylan Jordan (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2028
Age: 20 | Current Level: A | Bats: R | Throws: R
A 2024 prep arm who received $1.25M as a fifth-round pick, Jordan had a dominant pro debut that confirmed why the Angels invested over-slot money. He turned in a strong Spring Breakout start in 2026, generating buzz around his stuff mix. Now at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, he’s one of the more exciting developmental arms in the lower levels of this system. High ceiling, long timeline — a name to get in on early in deep dynasty formats.
Chase Shores (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2027
Age: 21 | Current Level: A+ | Bats: R | Throws: R
The Angels’ second-round pick in 2025 out of the SEC, Shores has a big-time sinker and the org is attempting to develop him as a starter. In his first 8 innings at High-A, he struck out 12 against just 2 walks while allowing only 2 hits. The secondary stuff needs refinement, but the swing-and-miss is already translating to pro ball. If the starter experiment doesn’t stick, his fastball/slider combination profiles as a high-leverage late-inning option who would move quickly.
Denzer Guzman (SS) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 22 | Current Level: AAA | Bats: R | Throws: R
A $2M international signing in 2021 from the Dominican Republic, Guzman broke out in 2025 at Double-A with a .278/.364/.467 slash line and 11 homers in 84 games, earning a promotion to Triple-A and eventually an MLB debut in September. He grades with the best defensive infielder and best infield arm in the system, and is already on the 40-man. The bat has come a long way — he looks like a legitimate MLB shortstop with starting upside.
Chris Cortez (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 23 | Current Level: A+ | Bats: R | Throws: R
A flame-thrower who touched 101 MPH in college at Texas A&M, Cortez averages 97.5 as a starter in pro ball and has touched triple digits. He grades with the best fastball in the system at 70. Command is the ongoing limiting factor — the Angels moved him into a starting role coming out of college, and the results have been mixed. If they move him to relief, he rockets up the timeline. Either way, that arm plays.
Talon Haley (LHP) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 20 | Current Level: A | Bats: L | Throws: L
Haley grades with the best curveball in the Angels system. A 2025 prep arm who received $897,500 as a 12th-round over-slot pick, he’s part of the Angels’ wave of high-upside prep lefties. Now making his pro debut at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Haley is pure projection — the curve gives him a potential out pitch to build around, but he’s a long way from the big leagues. Deep sleeper.
CJ Gray (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 19 | Current Level: ROK | Bats: R | Throws: R
One of the most athletic and electric pitchers in the 2025 prep class, Gray had scholarship offers to play quarterback at the college football level. He’s quite raw but has exciting arm strength and athleticism. The Angels gave him $1.25M as the fifth-round pick. He’s spending 2026 in extended spring training/rookie ball — this is a pure upside add in dynasty. The athleticism alone gives him a much higher ceiling than most arms at this level.
Raudi Rodriguez (OF) – MLB ETA: 2027
Age: 22 | Current Level: AA | Bats: R | Throws: R
Rodriguez grades as the best athlete in the Angels system and is tied for the best power tool among position players at 55. He showed out during the 2025 season and opened 2026 at Double-A Rocket City. A toolsy, projectable outfielder with a chance to be an impact player if the hit tool develops — the athleticism gives him a wide range of outcomes in either direction.
Joswa Lugo (SS) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 19 | Current Level: ROK | Bats: R | Throws: R
Lugo grades with plus power potential at 55 — tied for the best in the system among position players. A 6’3″ shortstop with legitimate thump, he’s the kind of physical profile that generates excitement in the lower levels. Still in extended spring/rookie ball making his pro debut, he’s a long-term name to stash for dynasty leagues that reward ceiling. The power/size combination at shortstop is rare.
Hayden Alvarez (OF) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 19 | Current Level: A | Bats: R | Throws: R
A rare hitter who combines consistent contact with plate discipline — he makes a ton of contact and will take the walk, with how much power develops determining his ultimate ceiling. He ties Nelson Rada for the best hit tool and best speed in the system. Currently at Single-A, Alvarez is one of the more interesting offensive profiles in the lower levels of this system — a potential everyday outfielder if the bat plays at upper levels.
Barrett Kent (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2028
Age: 21 | Current Level: A | Bats: R | Throws: R
Kent had Tommy John surgery in September 2025 and will miss the entire 2026 season. Prior to the injury, he showed enough in limited action to crack multiple top-30 lists. The stuff was promising — a high-upside arm that the Angels invested in — but the TJ timeline pushes him well into 2027 before he’s back on the mound. A name to watch in offseason dynasty adds when he resumes throwing.
Sam Aldegheri (LHP) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 24 | Current Level: AAA | Bats: L | Throws: L
Acquired alongside George Klassen in the Carlos Estévez trade, Aldegheri likes to get ahead with his fastball and lure hitters off the plate with his secondaries. When the slider and changeup are working above average, he can make it work, though he’s not particularly precise with his command and is prone to leaving pitches in vulnerable spots. The profile is a backend starter at best, but he’s MLB-ready and could contribute in a piggyback or swingman role for the Angels in 2026.
Trey Gregory-Alford (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 19 | Current Level: A | Bats: R | Throws: R
A 2024 prep arm who received a massive $1.96M bonus as the 11th-round pick — the Angels’ biggest over-slot investment of that class. A 6’5″ righty with significant projection remaining, he’s now getting his first taste of full-season ball at Single-A. The arm strength is the carrying tool — this is a high-risk, high-reward developmental arm in the classic Angels mold. Patient dynasty stash.
Walbert Ureña (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2026
Age: 22 | Current Level: MLB | Bats: R | Throws: R
Made his MLB debut on Opening Day 2026 and has been one of the Angels’ more pleasant surprises, posting a 2.44 ERA with 41 strikeouts through late May. He grades with a 70 fastball — tied for the best in the system. The Angels still plan to develop him as a starter long-term. A Dominican-born arm who signed for a modest bonus and has dramatically outperformed expectations — a legitimate dynasty contributor right now.
Jeyson Horton (SS) – MLB ETA: 2031
Age: 16 | Current Level: ROK | Bats: R | Throws: R
Horton originally had a $2.5M deal with the Yankees that was broken in February 2025 before signing with the Angels for $2M. He’s an amazing little athlete with a chance to be a special infield defender, though his hard swing makes scouts apprehensive about projecting his contact ability. Pure upside play — one of the youngest players on any Angels list. Don’t expect meaningful production for several years, but the athleticism and defensive ceiling are legitimate reasons to take a flier in deep dynasty.
Ubaldo Soto (RHP) – MLB ETA: 2029
Age: 19 | Current Level: A | Bats: R | Throws: R
A young arm in the Angels’ deep pitching pipeline, Soto is at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga making his full-season debut in 2026. He carries a 40 OFP on Prospects Live’s board — a developmental arm with modest current projection but plenty of time to grow. The Angels have shown they’re willing to be patient with young arms, and Soto fits the mold of a system-depth piece who could emerge with a breakout performance at the lower levels.
