2026 Dynasty Baseball Prospects: Daily Write-Up Series #110 Brock Wilken

We’re 87 days from Opening Day, and the 2026 Dynasty Baseball Prospects: Daily Write-Up series turns to Milwaukee and one of the more power-forward bats in the Brewers’ system. Checking in at #110 is Brock Wilken, a corner infielder whose value is tied to his ability to impact the baseball in a hurry. Wilken’s pro career has come with some swing-and-miss questions, but the raw power, strength, and willingness to work counts, keep the offensive upside firmly in play. As the list tightens, he profiles as a bat-first prospect whose future hinges on how much contact he can sustain as he climbs toward the upper levels heading into 2026.

Daily Baseball Write-Up Series #110 Brock Wilken

Midway through the summer in Biloxi, Brock Wilken stopped trying to win every at-bat with one swing and started forcing pitchers to work around him. The shift showed up quickly in the stat line and in the quality of his plate appearances, turning him from a fringe power name into a legitimate upper-level bat who could factor into Milwaukee’s plans sooner rather than later.

Across 344 plate appearances at Double-A, Wilken posted an .876 OPS with 18 home runs and a .263 ISO, pairing that damage with a .387 OBP despite a .226 batting average. That gap between average and OBP is earned, not fluky. Wilken drew 69 walks, consistently worked deep counts, and showed real swing discipline. The strikeout totals can look noisy at first glance, but a 9.4% swinging-strike rate tells a different story. This plays more like a patient hitter living in two-strike counts than a bat that simply cannot get to velocity.

The batted-ball profile fits the middle-of-the-order corner mold. Wilken leaned heavily into a pull-side approach (55.3%) while lifting the ball at a healthy clip, running a 43.2% fly-ball rate with enough line drives (21.6%) to keep extra-base damage flowing. The raw power has always been there, but the Brewers have helped streamline how he accesses it. He stayed through the zone longer in 2025, and the payoff showed up in his ability to carry damage to all fields, not just yanking mistakes down the line. A pull-heavy, fly-ball profile does introduce batting-average volatility and some BABIP risk, but when he gets something to lift, the power plays like a true 60.

From a role standpoint, Wilken has the arm and actions to hold down third base for now, with the flexibility to slide across to first or DH if Milwaukee needs to open a lineup spot. Upper-level pitchers will continue to challenge him with spin away and try to steal early strikes, which is why trimming called-strike strikeouts is the next developmental lever. If the strikeout rate settles closer to what the swinging-strike data suggests, Wilken has a realistic path to becoming a 30-homer bat whose on-base skills keep him playable even when the average fluctuates.

Fantasy Outlook

Wilken profiles as an OBP and points-league asset with upside for more. The walk rate cushions cold stretches, and the power should translate in Milwaukee’s run-friendly environment. In standard 5×5 leagues, the batting average risk is real, but the home run and RBI potential offset it if you build around the profile correctly. For dynasty managers hunting upside just outside the Top 100, this looks like a legitimate buy window before the strikeout narrative catches up to the underlying improvements.
