2026 Dynasty Baseball Prospects: Daily Write-Up Series #1–150

The World Series wrapped last night, and that means we are officially in offseason mode. Starting today, November 2, 2025, we have 144 days until Opening Day. That’s 144 chances to help you get a step ahead on your dynasty prep, keeper evaluations, and prospect stashes before draft season hits.

What?! Your fantasy baseball league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax this season? Preposterous! Check out what the Fantrax MLB Commissioner has to offer and we think you’ll be singing a different tune for the 2026 MLB season.

Daily Prospect Write-Ups Begin

So here’s what you’ll get: one full prospect write-up per day (sometimes two), pulled straight from my own scouting looks, and statistical deep dives. No paywalls. No half-baked lists. Just real analysis the way fantasy managers need it, blending tools, trends, and upside trajectories that map to the fantasy formats you actually play.

And before we jump in, let’s take a quick moment to revisit two of my favorite preseason breakout picks, Anderson Brito and Demetrio Crisantes, and check in on how they fared in 2025.

Preseason Breakout Reflections

Anderson Brito | SP | HOU | Level: A+ | Age: 20

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the Astros turned an unknown international prospect into a potential stud. Anderson Brito, signed out of Venezuela for just $10,000, looked like the next gem from Houston’s pitching factory heading into 2025. In spring, the 19-year-old was already flashing a 96–99 mph fastball with good carry and a devastating low-80s slider that has huge horizontal sweep. The quality of his stuff was never in doubt, the main question was whether he could harness it and throw consistent strikes over a full season.

Fast-forward through the 2025 season, and Brito largely delivered on that breakout promise. His fastball/slider combo missed bats everywhere, translating to a 31% strikeout rate in High-A. Despite an aggressive assignment to Asheville (High-A) at age 19–20, he posted a strong 3.28 ERA over 12 starts, with 65 strikeouts in 49.1 innings. That kind of polish and poise at such a young age suggests his projection as a starter is legitimate. There’s still some command refinement ahead (he issued 28 walks in those 49.1 innings), but his mid-90s heater and sweeping slider proved he can dominate advanced hitters. In short, the breakout call on Brito hit right on target. He showed everyone that the Astros may have unearthed yet another future impact arm.

Demetrio Crisantes | 2B/SS | ARI | Level: A+ | Age: 20

Demetrio Crisantes was one of my favorite breakout picks entering 2025 because everything he did on the field looked easy, fluid actions, a calm heartbeat, and an elite feel for the barrel. The hit tool has always been his calling card, and his production in 2024 (his first full season) backed it up in a big way. Over 439 plate appearances across two levels in 2024, Crisantes hit .341 with 7 home runs and 30 stolen bases, leading all minor-league teenagers (min. 400 PA) in batting average (.341) and on-base percentage (.429). He controlled the strike zone like a seasoned veteran, walking almost as often as he struck out, and he began to add some game power as well. Among players 20 years old or younger in 2024, few could match Crisantes’ combination of contact skills and strike-zone discipline.

Unfortunately, the 2025 season did not allow Crisantes to fully capitalize on that momentum. Now 20 years old, he got off to a decent start at High-A Hillsboro, but a left shoulder injury cut his year short in mid-May. He logged only 34 games (151 plate appearances) in 2025 before undergoing season-ending surgery. In that limited sample, Crisantes slashed .252/.358/.415 with 4 home runs and 6 stolen bases. The encouraging sign is that his advanced approach did carry over, he drew 21 walks against 19 strikeouts, showing the same calm, selective hitting style. However, with such a small sample, it’s hard to call 2025 a true breakout for him. Instead of leading leaderboards, he spent most of the year rehabbing. This means our preseason breakout prediction will have to wait a bit longer to be proven right. The talent and underlying skills are still there, but the baseball gods put this breakout on pause. If Crisantes can return healthy in 2026, there’s every reason to believe he can pick up where he left off and then make all of us who touted him look smart, just on a slightly delayed timeline.
