2026 Dynasty Baseball Prospects: Daily Write-Up Series #128 Eric Bitonti

We’re 119 days from Opening Day, and the next name in my 2026 Dynasty Baseball Prospects: Daily Write-Up series shifts to Milwaukee, where one of the Brewers’ youngest power bats made a real statement in 2025. Coming in at #128 is Eric Bitonti, a left-handed masher whose combination of size, bat speed, and emerging plate discipline finally started to translate into production. Even with some inevitable swing-and-miss as he adjusted to more advanced pitching, Bitonti flashed the middle-of-the-order thump and approach growth that can reshape both his trajectory and his fantasy ceiling, in a hurry

Daily Baseball Write-Up Series #128 Eric Bitonti

The Brewers have made a habit of betting on young, physical bats and letting development do the heavy lifting. At 19 years old in full-season ball, Eric Bitonti fit that mold and then some. He didn’t just hold his own; he got to impact, flashed patience beyond his years, and reminded everyone why projecting raw power on a broad-shouldered teenager can be worth the wait.

Bitonti’s foundation is the kind of fly-ball heavy damage profile you want to see early. He ran a 47.7% fly-ball rate paired with a 48.9% pull rate and still used the middle of the field at a respectable 28.0%. That’s not an all-or-nothing pull monster; that’s a young hitter leveraging natural loft with enough direction to keep pitchers honest. The production followed: 19 home runs and a .182 ISO across 505 plate appearances, good for a 116 wRC+ at age 19. Even if the .238 average leaves you wanting more, a .341 OBP says the approach is real, and 21 doubles hint there’s another half-step of game power as strength and timing continue to mature.

Of course, there’s hit-tool risk. A 16.0% swinging-strike rate and roughly a 33% K-rate put a bright neon sign on contact concerns. But I like how the rest of the picture fits: he also walked about 13% of the time, and the batted-ball mix (32.6% ground balls, nearly 20% line drives) suggests he isn’t just uppercutting for show. The long levers are going to lead to some whiff, no sense pretending otherwise, but the path is relatively efficient, and when he’s on time, he creates easy carry. The next developmental checkpoint is pretty straightforward: shave a couple ticks off the swing-and-miss without dulling the loft. Given Milwaukee’s track record of tightening up swing decisions and Bitonti’s willingness to work, there’s a plausible path to settling in around a 22–28% K-rate as he climbs.

There’s also a sneaky bit of fantasy juice in the legs right now. Seventeen steals at Low-A don’t make him a burner long-term, but they underscore good reads and baseline athleticism. As he adds strength and slides into a corner infield profile, I’d expect the run tool to tick down a hair, but early-career double-digit steals are on the table while the body is still live. The rest is middle-of-the-order intent: lift, pull, punish.

Fantasy Outlook

This is a classic dynasty bet on loud power with an age-to-level context that buys him time. In OBP formats, Bitonti’s patience already plays; in AVG-centric Roto, the batting average floor is the biggest risk until the contact rate stabilizes. Points league managers should note that the strikeout penalty will cap his near-term value, but the walks help soften the blow. If he trims the whiff into the high-20s K% range while maintaining the 45–50% fly-ball heartbeat, you’re looking at a 25–30 HR corner bat with early-career 8–12 steals and OBP buoyancy. The ETA sits more 2027–2028 than fast track, so this is a stash for rebuilding and retooling dynasty squads, with arrow-up potential if the swing decisions tighten at High-A.
