It’s Fantasy Baseball draft season! While some of us degenerates were drafting back in October and November, now is the time where fantasy baseball drafts really kick into high gear. We here at FantraxHQ have been pumping out a ton of great content all offseason long and are diving head-first into our 2022 Fantrax Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit. A big part of any draft kit is rankings, and we’re continuing our staff consensus rankings for 2022 with our fantasy baseball relief pitcher rankings.
Below you’ll find the consensus rankings that 12 of our MLB writers were involved in. The writers involved are Eric Cross, Chris Clegg, Lauren Auerbach, Nic Civale, David Mendelson, Mike Carter, Mick Ciallela, Justin Dunbar, Logan Kritzeck, Michael Govier, Ryan Kirksey, and Justin Johnson. Each writer provided anywhere from 40-55 pitchers so we could create our consensus top-40.
Every season, it feels like relief pitchers get pushed up higher and higher in drafts and 2022 is shaping up for more of the same in that department. We have a clear top tier of Josh Hader and Liam Hendricks this season with as many as 6-8 more being taken inside the top-100 of some drafts as well. If you want a top-flight RP, you’re going to have to pay up.
