MLB Injury Report

Max Fried – SP Atlanta Braves

As stated in the video, Fried threw another BP yesterday. He’s slated to continue to do this, alongside some live hitters, some live BP, and then a rehab assignment. She mentioned that the team expects him back after the All-Star Break.

John Means – SP Baltimore Orioles

Means was shut down due to a muscle strain in his upper back about a month ago. Now, he is back on the field throwing and will continue to work toward returning before the season concludes. He himself said that August is a goal for him.

Kris Bryant – OF Colorado Rockies

This is great news, as we should see Bryant back before the All-Star Break if things work out the way we all hope they will.

Matthew Boyd – SP Detroit Tigers

Boyd felt discomfort in his elbow and removed himself from the game. There will be additional testing done in order to determine the severity of the situation. Nobody wants to come to a conclusion too soon, but this is obviously a bad situation for him and for the team. Consider him DTD until we know more, but don’t be surprised if this warrants a trip to the Injured List.

Riley Greene – OF Detroit Tigers, Akil Baddoo – OF Detroit Tigers

That’s great news for both players. We’ll see how long either or both stay with the team before heading out to Toledo for those rehab assignments.

Detroit Tigers – Rotation Rehab Update

This will be the first of many rehab starts for Faedo and Rodriguez. They both suffered different finger injuries and will be on different trajectories back to Detroit. As for Skubal, he’s already thrown multiple times in many outings and this could be the final one before his return.

Matt Manning – SP Detroit Tigers

This message was sent yesterday regarding today. Be prepared.

Mickey Moniak – OF Los Angeles Angels

The issue has been bothering Moniak since a game in Colorado. It happened as he was running the bases on Saturday. All that being said, it’s been noted by Nevin that he should play later today. It’s a mobility issue for him and nothing more.

Zach Neto – SS Los Angeles Angels

Looks like Neto will be back in the lineup soon enough. He’s already past his ten-day minimum, so he can return anytime.

Eduardo Escobar – INF Los Angeles Angels

Wishing Escobar the best in the next chapter of his life.

Ben Joyce – RP Los Angeles Angels

It’s time to re-joyce that he is symptom-free and likely ramping up to get back into action.

Trevor Rogers – SP Miami Marlins

It’s never a good thing when you’re told that your injury is a one-of-a-kind ailment. Unfortunately for everyone, Rogers will miss the next two weeks and is likely out for much longer than that. While he has been doing lower-body workouts and minimal upper-body workouts to keep fresh, he will need to ramp things up after a very long delay. His rehab assignment will likely be lengthy too, making Rogers a candidate to return sometime in August.

Jorge Polanco – 2B Minnesota Twins

There has been talk about Polanco starting a rehab assignment soon too, but nothing concrete. Either way, it’s still good news that he’s progressing and working toward a return.

Jose Quintana – SP New York Mets

Looks like Quintana could be back before the All-Star Break. Be prepared.
