SNF DraftKings DFS Picks
*Disclaimer: These picks have been constructed with the mindset of building a single lineup. When building large field/multi-entry tournaments, if the player sees the field you’ll want to have a piece of him somewhere, my “busts” included.
Captain
Brandin Cooks
DraftKings Captain Salary- $10,500
Allow me to start by saying that I tried my best to put CeeDee Lamb in the captain slot (he’s still a must-play). There’s a pretty good chance that he is the highest scorer on the slate tonight. But we’re playing on DraftKings not FanDuel, so you can still win a pretty penny even if your captain doesn’t put up the most points of the night. You can on FD as well, but its a lot harder. When you’ve got a matchup like we have for SNF tonight, you really want to jam in as many studs as possible. I tried and tried, but with Lamb in the captain slot I felt like I was leaving too many points on the table. That’s why I landed on Brandin Cooks. Cooks has the same matchup against a super beatable Eagles secondary, that has been the worst defense in fantasy against the wide receiver position. Not to mention that Cooks has been coming on strong lately, catching 20 passes for 333 yards and 3 touchdowns over his last four games. That includes one game with 9 receptions, 173 yards and a TD. Cooks’ quarterback is hot as fish grease and anybody is liable to have a big day.
Core Play
Dak Prescott
DraftKings Salary- $10,600
If you were wondering, thus far Dak Prescott has made good on his promise to take care of the football. To this point in the season, his interception count sits at just six. In terms of QBs that have started all 12 games so far this season, that total is tied for the best, right along with Justin Herbert and Derek Carr. Unlike the other two, Prescott has been a revelation for fantasy this season.
Since the Week 7 bye, Dak Prescott has been on fire. He’s scored 30+ DraftKings points in 4 out of his last 6 games, dipping below 28 points just once in that span. That’s about as reliable as you can get in this league. I spoke about it a little while addressing Brandin Cooks, this Philly secondary is suspect. In addition to being the best matchup for fantasy wide receivers, they’ve also allowed the most fantasy points to the quarterback position. Dak has weapons all over the place in Lamb, Cooks, and Jake Ferguson. He should have no problem spreading the ball around tonight on SNF.
Value
D’Andre Swift
DraftKings Salary- $7,400
Whatever happened to ground and pound? Running behind arguably the best offensive line in the National Football League, D’Andre Swift has had some tough sledding lately. He has not topped double-digit points in the last two weeks. In his defense, he did play against a very stout 49ers run defense last week. He did rush for 80 yards the week prior against the Bills, which is fantastic. He just wasn’t able to find the end zone or catch many passes that week.
After a disappointing showing across the board last week, there’s no doubt that the Eagles are going to once again try and establish the run. Before DK Metcalf’s monster 3 TD game last week, the Cowboys DST had been slightly more susceptible to the run than the pass. They’ve allowed three rushing scores in the last three weeks. Hoping for a Philly RB rushing touchdown is always a little messy. The Eagles are always just one tush push away from ruining your SNF DFS experience, but I believe Swift stays involved enough to overcome a potential vulture.
Sleeper
Dallas Goedert
DraftKings Salary- $5,400
Hey! Dallas Goedert does not have an injury designation for SNF. After suffering a forearm fracture and missing the last three games, Goedert practiced in full on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week, signaling his return. Jalen Hurts will no doubt love to have an extra weapon back in such an important matchup. Goedert had been a reliable check-down option and chain mover for Hurts when he was in the lineup. While the Cowboys have locked down fantasy WRs for the most part, they’ve been fairly average against the TE. Goedert’s price isn’t that of my typical sleepers, they’re usually a lot cheaper. However, this particular matchup is special in the sense that auxiliary players don’t get much love on either team. Aside from the kickers or defenses, who almost always represent decent value options, there aren’t any cheap players that I’m comfortable suggesting. Goedert rounds out the long list of studs set to take the field tonight.
SNF Bust
Nobody
Well, this is a surprise. I’m not comfortable labeling anyone a bust in tonight’s divisional matchup. By my definition, a bust is a player who is priced significantly higher than his projected output. I also take into consideration players that are likely to be highly owned. If that player doesn’t project well, I label him a bust as well, regardless of the price. Tonight, nobody fits the bill. Even Tony Pollard‘s ass can fall into the end zone in a game projected for 51.5 points, the highest on the slate. Instead, I’ve compiled a list of the players that I love, like, and don’t mind.
Love
- CeeDee Lamb
- Dak Prescott
- Jalen Hurts
- AJ Brown
- Brandin Cooks
Like
- D’Andre Swift
- Devonta Smith
- Jake Ferguson
Don’t Mind
- Tony Pollard
- Dallas Goedert
