All great things have to come to an end and that is what this week is. Week 18 will mark my final RB rankings of the season and these final rankings are sure to win you a championship this week. If you won your championship last week, let me say congratulations and I hope you didn’t start Rachaad White. Let’s hope you started Breece Hall and James Conner.
This week is by far the toughest week to set a lineup. Looks like you will be without Christian McCaffrey and now that the Raiders are officially eliminated, I don’t see Josh Jacobs suiting up this week either. So, this is when the waiver wire or your bench players start to come alive.
Running Back Notes:
- Let’s start with Elijah Mitchell as my RB9. Mitchell rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown last week, which added up to 14 fantasy points. He does have a tough matchup this week against the Rams. But, knowing that McCaffrey is out makes Mitchell a great start this week. The 49ers are great on the ground and Mitchell isn’t just any backup. When healthy he can put up over 20 fantasy points.
- At my RB10 I have Zamir White. It looks like Jacobs will for sure sit out and White has been exceptional as the starter for the last couple of weeks. This week the Raiders have the Broncos who are the second-worst defense going against fantasy RBs. They are giving up 24.7 fantasy points per game to RBs. In White’s last three games, he has put up 16, 14.5, and 13.1 fantasy points. He is also averaging 19.6 carries in those three games. He is a sure winner as both the Raiders and Broncos are eliminated from the playoffs. These are the games when backups shine.
- There is still a chance the Seahawks can make the playoffs and that is why I have Kenneth Walker III as my RB12. I also have him as my RB12 because he is playing the Cardinals who are giving up the most fantasy points per game to RBs in 25.7. The Cardinals were eliminated a long time ago, so who knows how long the starters stay on the field. And the Seahawks need to win to have a chance to make it into the postseason. So, all signs point to Walker having a huge game.
- Lastly, I have Tyler Allgeier as my RB34. I can see him getting more carries this week. Bijan Robinson led the team with 15 carries compared to Allgeier’s five. But, it was Allgeier who put up 15.3 fantasy points as he scored on a 75-yard receiving touchdown. And the week before he scored on a 31-yard rushing touchdown. Allgeier is a risky start, but he is explosive and can break a big play at any moment.
