Draft season is in full swing! Today I will be highlighting 2024 College Fantasy Football (CFF) Dynasty Stashes. I will give you 2 quarterbacks, 2 wide receivers, and 2 running backs to target in your upcoming drafts or players you may be able to grab off the waiver wire early in the year. While these are stashes, there are two names in this article that I believe can help your team in 2024. When I mention points per game (ppg), I am assuming a 12-team league that uses 6-point passing touchdowns and 1 point per reception (PPR). Are you ready to be one step ahead of your league mates? 2024 College Fantasy Football Dynasty Stashes
CFF Dynasty Quarterback Stashes
Cedrick Bailey – North Carolina State
Cedrick Bailey is a 247 4-star composite quarterback out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, FL. He is 6’6” and 190 lbs. He had offers from P4 schools like Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisville, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Texas A&M. In the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game, he went 7 of 13 for 98 yards and 1 touchdown.
Let’s look at quarterbacks under Robert Anae since 2013. Over those 11 years, an Anae quarterback has averaged: 2899 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 443 rushing yards, and 6 touchdowns on the ground. Those equate to ~25.87ppg. Let’s have fun with it! If you take all the worst stats from each category across those 11 years, his quarterbacks would average 18.14ppg. Not a bad floor. Now if you took the best stats from each category across those 11 years, his quarterbacks would average 38.31ppg. That is a tremendous ceiling! Go grab Cedrick Bailey while you can!
Arrington Maiden – Memphis
Arrington Maiden is my second College Fantasy Football Dynasty Stash for 2024. Maiden is a 247 3-star composite quarterback out of College Station High School in College Station, TX. He comes in at 6’2” and 204 lbs. He is a quarterback who will maneuver in the pocket first and look to run second. Boston College was the only P4 school to offer Maiden a scholarship.
In Ryan Silverfield’s time as a Head Coach at Memphis (4 seasons), his quarterbacks have averaged 27.14ppg. Memphis likes to develop its quarterbacks, and I can see Maiden stepping into this role in 2025 and giving you a floor of ~23ppg easily. They did get a commitment from a highly-rated recruit, Antwann Hill Jr., in the 2025 cycle. I understand there is some risk here, but I like what the Tigers are doing. To top it off, the G5 Hive did an interview with Mario Anderson Jr., Memphis RB, and he identified Maiden as a young guy who will make an impact when his number is called.
CFF Dynasty Wide Receiver Stashes
Keonde Henry – Memphis
Who will Arrington Maiden be throwing the ball to in 2025? Keonde Henry. Henry is a 247 4-star composite wide receiver out of Lake Dallas High School in Lake Dallas, TX. He is 6’2” and 185 lbs. His senior year, he had 56 receptions for 970 yards and 12 touchdowns. He had offers from P4 schools like Purdue, Boston College, Northwestern, SMU, Texas Tech, Utah, and Vanderbilt.
People are creatures of habit, so I like to look at tendencies. In this case, Silverfield has a wide receiver type. In each of his 4 seasons as Head Coach for Memphis, he has had a wide receiver who is 6’2″ and averages 213lbs. Wait, Keonde Henry is 6’2″. While the weight isn’t there yet, let’s give him some time to work with that nutritional staff and get a season under his belt in the weight room. Henry’s body type matches what a top receiving option looks like in a Silverfield offense. Let’s not forget that he has the talent too!
Mario Craver – Mississippi State
Another College Fantasy Football Dynasty Stash for 2024 is Mario Craver. Craver is a 247 4-star composite wide receiver out of Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, AL. Craver is 5’11” and 180 lbs, with speed. That speed caught a lot of schools’ attention. He has a verified 10.74 100-meter time, which is roughly a 4.48-second 40-yard dash time. He had offers from 23 different P4 schools!
Jeff Lebby is the new Head Coach at Mississippi State. He comes in via Oklahoma and brings in a system that loves to target the slot. The slot wide receiver averages over 15ppg! His #1 wideout, in three out of four years, has had more than 1,000 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns. The only wide receiver to miss that threshold was Drake Stoops in 2023. Stoops had 962 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. Be one step ahead of your league mates and get this future 1,000-yard receiver before he blows up.
CFF Dynasty Running Back Stashes
Gabriel Benyard – Kennesaw State
In response to moving from the FCS level to the FBS level, Kennesaw State gave out a lot of red shirts in 2023. One being Gabriel Benyard. Benyard only played in 4 games last year. According to the G5 Hive’s interview with beat reporter, Kai Mallette, Benyard is an offensive weapon. In 2023, he led the team in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Yeah, you read that right. He led the team in receiving yards in just 4 games! In those 4 games, he also ran the 4th most routes on the team. While the jump from FCS to Conference USA may be a tough one, Gabriel Benyard is a nice 2024 College Fantasy Football Dynasty Stash.
Sedrick Irvin Jr. – Stanford
Troy Taylor made the 2-hour trip southwest from Sacramento to the Bay area last season. Prior to Stanford, Taylor was the Head Coach for Sacramento State (FCS). They did not play in 2020, so he has 4 seasons as a Head Coach under his belt. He was also the OC/QB coach for Utah in 2017 and 2018, but let’s dig into his time at Sacramento State.
Taylor likes to have 1 guy toting the rock. This goes all the way back to his days at Utah with Zack Moss. Taylor likes to get his running backs involved in the passing game too. If the running back does not have the ability to be a receiver too, the floor looks to be ~6ppg. Ouch! If the running back can contribute to the receiving game, the ceiling is ~21ppg. Speaking of catching the ball, let’s take a look at that. In 2019, the running back position led the team in receptions.
Troy Taylor prefers to run an up-tempo offense which screams opportunity! Luke, was he able to install his up-tempo offense in year one at Stanford? Yes, he was! The team averaged 73.3 plays per game. That was good for 29th in the nation. In the 3 seasons before Taylor, Stanford averaged 68.7 plays per game. That was good for 64th in the nation.
