NFL Injury Report – Week 9

Week 9 is here, and the injuries are beginning to pile up. The rosters that you drafted to begin the season probably look nothing like they do now, and that’s okay. It shows that you’ve adapted to the changes that have been happening due to promotions and injuries. Buffalo Bills

WR Curtis Samuel (pectoral) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, as he didn’t practice fully this week, and may not return until further down the line.

WR Amari Cooper (wrist) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, but he did practice this week with the hopes of playing.

Carolina Panthers

WR Xavier Legette (toe) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, with an injury that happened on Thursday, but he is expected to play.

Cincinnati Bengals

WR Tee Higgins (quad) – DOUBTFUL for Week 9.

RB Zack Moss (neck) – DOUBTFUL for Week 9.

Green Bay Packers

RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9 after being a limited participant in practice, but he is expected to play.

QB Jordan Love (groin) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, though the decision likely won’t be made right up until kickoff, with the expectation being that he will play.

Jacksonville Jaguars

RB Travis Etienne (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9 after having been limited at practice all week, and is a game-time decision, though he is expected to play.

WR Brian Thomas (chest) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, and his status for the game will be a game-time decision, though he is expected to play.

WR Gabe Davis (shoulder) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, although he is considered a long shot to play.

RB Tank Bigsby (ankle) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, though he is expected to play.

Kansas City Chiefs

WR Juju Smith-Schuster (hamstring) – OUT for Week 9.

Las Vegas Raiders

RB Zamir White (quad) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, but he was a full participant at Friday’s practice.

Los Angeles Rams

WR Puka Nacua (knee) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9 with the team attempting to try and make him available to play.

WR Jordan Whittington (shoulder) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9.

Philadelphia Eagles

TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) – OUT for Week 9, with no impending return.

Seattle Seahawks

WR DK Metcalf (knee) – OUT for Week 9 with an injury that is likely to keep him out of action until after their bye week.

TE Noah Fant (groin) – OUT for Week 9.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

RB Bucky Irving (toe) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, after being limited at practice on Saturday.

WR Mike Evans (hamstring) – OUT for Week 9, with the belief that this injury will result in him not being able to play until Week 12.

WR Jalen McMillan (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9 after being limited at practice on Saturday.

WR Sterling Shepherd (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9 after being limited at practice on Saturday.

Tennessee Titans

QB Will Levis (shoulder) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, and is not expected to play.

RB Tony Pollard (foot) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9, but he is expected to play.

Washington Commanders

RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 9 after being limited at practice this week, but he is expected to play.

NFL Injured Reserve/PUP

Baltimore Ravens

RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) – placed on Injured Reserved, and his 21-day practice window has officially been opened as he is preparing for a return, which could happen soon as he is QUESTIONABLE for Week 9.

Carolina Panthers

WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 3 and has already been ruled OUT for Week 9 despite practicing, albeit in a limited capacity.

RB Jonathan Brooks (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss at least the first four weeks of the season, though his twenty-one-day clock to return to practice window has started and he is OUT for Week 9.

Cleveland Browns

QB DeShaun Watson (Achilles) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the regular season after having successful surgery.

Dallas Cowboys

WR Brandin Cooks (knee) was placed on Injured Reserve due to a knee issue that will cost him at least the next four weeks.

Denver Broncos

WR Josh Reynolds (finger) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 5 and is set to miss multiple weeks after having surgery as a result of being involved in a shooting.

Green Bay Packers

TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 5, and will miss at least the next four weeks.

Houston Texans

TE Brevin Jordan (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

WR Nico Collins (hamstring) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 5, and while he will miss at least the next four weeks, there is speculation that he will return next week.

WR Stefon Diggs (knee – ACL) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

Jacksonville Jaguars

WR Christian Kirk (collarbone) – placed on Injured Reserve after fracturing his collarbone in Week 8, and will miss the remainder of the season.

Kansas City Chiefs

WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) – placed on Injured Reserve with an injury that will take months, not weeks from which to heal, though there are reports of him being ahead of schedule.

RB Isaiah Pacheco (fibula) – placed on Injured Reserve and had successful surgery which will cost him six to eight weeks to recover, though he is feeling better.

WR Rashee Rice (shoulder) – placed on Injured Reserve, though the team is unsure if he will return this season; they will know more about his timeline after he has a procedure done early next week to test the severity of the situation.

Las Vegas Raiders

TE Michael Mayer (personal) – placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness List and will miss an extended amount of time.

Los Angeles Chargers

RB Gus Edwards (ankle) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 5 and will miss at least the next four weeks.

Los Angeles Rams

TE Tyler Higbee (knee) – placed on the PUP List and there is concern that he will miss up to seven weeks of the season.

New Orleans Saints

WR Rashid Shaheed (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve with an injury to his meniscus, and will miss the rest of the regular season after having surgery to repair it.

WR Bub Means (ankle) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 8 and will miss at least the next four weeks.

RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 8 and will miss at least the next four weeks.

San Francisco 49ers

RB Christian McCaffrey (calf/Achilles tendinitis) – placed on Injured Reserve and could miss extended time, and while there was some encouragement concerning his situation after his first workouts didn’t reveal any flare-ups or setbacks, he likely isn’t returning until after the team’s bye week.

WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season due to an injury to his ACL and MCL.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

WR Chris Godwin (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve after Week 7, with the expectation that he would miss the remainder of the season.
