Winning in your Fantrax EPL draft league is all about getting players with the best EPL fixtures.
Let’s look back at our October recommendations. Manchester City won three out of three even though they left it late against Wolves. Brentford won two out of three matchups with a tough loss to Manchester United. Southampton continued their winless start to the season with three more losses in October. Bournemouth had a surprising month by losing to Leicester City but then responded by beating Arsenal and getting a late draw versus Aston Villa.
For each team, you’ll see the game week, date, their opponent, whether each fixture is home or away, and the placement of their opponent in the league table at the time of writing.
Fantasy EPL Draft – November EPL Fixtures
Here are the teams with the best set of EPL fixtures for September. These players have added value based on who they are playing.
Manchester United
Game week # | Date | Home/Away + Opponent | Opponent Place in the League |
GW 11 | 11/10/2024 | (H) Leicester City | 15th |
GW 12 | 11/24/2024 |
(A) Ipswich Town
|
18th |
GW 13 | 12/01/2024 | (H) Everton | 16th |
Manchester United has had a very tough start to the season but with the sacking of Erik ten Haag. Maybe they can kick start and their upcoming fixtures definitely can help. Ruud Van Nistelrooy will be in charge against Chelsea and Leicester City before the new boss, Ruben Amorim, officially takes over. Manchester United start with Chelsea at home who are in form. Following that game, they play bottom dwellers, Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Everton. Despite the roulette of managers during this month, these fixtures will still be positive for your Manchester United assets. Casemeiro is in great form as is Diego Dalot. These fixtures and managerial changes could be Bruno Fernandes’ chance to kick start his season and prove to owners of his first-round draft pick.
Wolves
Game week # | Date | Home/Away + Opponent | Opponent Place in the League |
GW 11 | 11/09/2024 | (H) Southampton | 20th |
GW 12 | 11/23/2024 |
(A) Fulham
|
9th |
GW 13 | 11/30/2024 | (H) AFC Bournemouth | 10th |
Wolves has perhaps the most favorable run of fixtures in November with three home games and an away match at Fulham. They face Crystal Palace at home to start, followed by a promising fixture against Southampton who have struggled on the road. The away trip to Fulham is followed by a home game against Bournemouth to complete a very appealing set of matches. Wolves are still without a win but this run of games will be important for them to get out of the relegation zone. Matheus Cunha has 3 goals on the year and has been scoring really well despite Wolves’ form. Rayan Alt-Nouri has scored 3 goals in the last four fixtures and despite Wolves conceding a league-high 25 goals his attacking threat makes him a great option during this stretch.
These teams have tough EPL fixtures coming up, so be cautious when looking at players here.
Manchester City
Game week # | Date | Home/Away + Opponent | Opponent Place in the League |
GW 11 | 11/09/2024 | (A) Brighton and Hove Albion | 8th |
GW 12 | 11/23/2024 |
(H) Tottenham Hotspur
|
7th |
GW 13 | 12/01/2024 | (A) Liverpool | 1st |
This is a big stretch for defending champions Manchester City. They suffered a surprise first loss of the season to 10th-place Bournemouth. They will want and need to respond if they are going to keep up with Liverpool. But it won’t be easy with this set of EPL fixtures. They are missing Rodri and Kevin DeBruyne. Erling Haaland has scored just one over his last five games, even with 22 shots, although not a single shot in his game against Wolves. Spurs lead the league in goals, and City has kept just one clean sheet this season, to 19th place Southampton. The game against 1st place Liverpool could have a major impact on the title race. In the past City has responded well to losses. They will need to again in this tough stretch.
Aston Villa
Game week # | Date | Home/Away + Opponent | Opponent Place in the League |
GW 7 | 10/05/2024 | (A) Liverpool | 1st |
GW 8 | 10/19/2024 | (H) Crystal Palace | 17th |
GW 9 | 10/26/2024 | (A) Chelsea | 4th |
Aston Villa have a particularly challenging month with three away fixtures against tough sides. They travel to Tottenham which is a challenge at home, followed by a visit to Anfield to face Liverpool. While they do get a home game against Crystal Palace in Week 12, they then travel to Chelsea to round out the period. Ollie Watkins, Youri Tielemans, and Lucas Digne have been Villa’s consistent performers and would still be confident to start them but I would be hesitant to add too many others this month. Aston Villa’s midfield and defensive assets have underperformed despite Villa’s positive start to the season.
Go with the stats and with your gut and the teams with the EPL fixtures.
Good luck.
